1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
You are bidding on a cool Z/28 that is in pretty good shape and a solid start for a restoration project. You can use it for the summer while you are restoring it. The reason why I bought this car was because it was a real decent base for bringing it to the next level. It was by far the best Camaro I had seen in this price range. It runs and drives and would be a fun father son project that won't break the bank. I am selling it due to starting a new transport business and some of the toys have to go. The body is 80-90% with just small areas of rust on the driver's quarter and the bottom of the doors. Both easy repairs as repair panels are cheap and easy to buy. The floors and trunk are super solid. Even the tail panel behind the rear bumper is solid, hich is normally a common rust area on these F-Bodys. The Code 61 Beige paint shines nice and still looks good. The one side scoop has some paint flaking. The decals are fading. The 62R Tan Vinyl Standard interior is in ok condition. The seats are decent except the driver's side needs the side bolster repaired and the seat bottom is starting to separate. Seat kits are available from multiple Camaro suppliers. The headliner was replaced already. The door panels are a little wavy. The carpet needs replacement. The console is in good shape. The radio area was modified to fit a modern DIN style radio. Speakers were mounted in the door panels and a third speaker was mounted in the package shelf between the factory location. No radio or speakers are installed now. This Camaro has a lot of options, hich is another reason why I purchased it: It is a true Z/28 as indicated on the trim tag. 350 V8 Automatic Power Steering Power Disc Brakes Power Windows Power Locks Tilt Steering Wheel. Cruise Control Air Conditioning Rear Defroster Remote Side Mirror Factory Gauges - 130mph Speedo, achometer, emp, uel and Amp. Alloy Wheels 225/70/15 BFGoodrich T/A Radial Tires Everything in the engine compartment is where it should be. It still have the factory manifolds, ir cleaner, ruise, tc. The water pump and radiator was recently replaced and the manifold gasket was done previous to my ownership. This is a running and driving car but it will need some work before driving on the road since it's been sitting in storage a couple years. The tires are old and will need replacement. The brake master cylinder is leaking and will have to be replaced. The driver's window does not go down. It may be stuck front sitting. I hear the motor clicking and will try to free it before the end of the auction. Passenger window works fine. Power locks do not work. A/C needs work but everything is there and hooked up including the belt. It runs ok but I would suggest doing a tune up (plugs, ap, otor, ilers etc..) just because I don't know when it was done last. Everything you can get done over a weekend. Overall you are buying a good car that you can tinker with and have something fun in the garage without breaking the bank. As you know, he prices of these Z/28's are climbing so here is your chance to jump in at the right time. I am listing this car at NO RESERVE which means the final bidder will own this car.
