1957 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton Short Bed

Mostly Original 1957 Chevrolet 3100 Series Pickup. Half Ton Shortbed.This truck has been buried in a garage in Sacramento CA since 1992.I used a lawnmower gas tank to the carb and jumped the battery and it fired right up. No smoke. Ran it around the block with no problem. Has Original 235 inline 6. Runs smooth with no noise or smoke. Original 3 speed has an aftermarket floor shift kit. I went in forward andreverse.Brakes were up and working,didn't even need fluid. E brake also working.To be a driver will need fuel tank cleaned, new battery and battery tray for firewall. And tires (due to age).Could use a complete restore or clean up and drive as is. Your truck, our call.Needs some glass, indshield has a star about the size of aquarter on passenger side.Driver wind wind and door glass cracked.Truck is a true 57 but has the wrong 56 type grill sitting in it. Will need the correct grill.Body is very good with very minimal rust. Mainlyscaling on floors when I pulled theoriginal mat and andunder felt. but no holes in floor. Steps are good with blisters on passenger side about the size of a stick of gum. Driver side very good. Bottoms of front fenders good, round inside roof where they rust is excellent on this truck. Bed and fenders are all good and very straight. It is primed but not loaded withbondo. Bodies this good are getting hard to find. Little rust in bottom of passenger door under weatherstripping.Has heater and spare tire carrier.Number Matching truck. Cab Vin, rame, itle and Old CA pair of black plates all match.
