Car description

1968 Cadillac De Ville Convertible. It runs, rives, he top works, ower steering, ower brakes. We drive it every weekend. My hobby is pre smog american cars and trucks. I am a fix it kind of guy. My goal is two vehicles a year. I clean them up, et them driveable and then sell them. This way I am driving a drifferent classic every 6 months. I call it my 95% car because most everything works, ut needs work and is original. Body. Blue is not the original color (Burgundy was) but when it was painted they did a good job of painting the inside of the trunk, oor jams etc. It was not that easy to find out is was not original. As you can see from the pictures she is pretty straight, ut unfortunately she has rust (front of hood, runk, oors, elow doors and the floor. The floor was replaced but not very well done). All the trim is there and in nice shape. Hud caps shine up nicely. Front and side glass is all good. All the windows go up and down.Interior Itis ok at best. I covered the rear seat with a blanket, he front seat does not have tears, ut does not have seat controls. The door panels look like they were all spray painted (Why? I don't know). The rug needs cleaning, ut the dash is beautiful (no tears or cracks). Things not working are door locks. blinkers, emp gauge and the Radio is not currently working, ut I have not checked into any of these yet. Gas gauge, il light, lternator light are all working. In the pictures the passenger side door panel is missing. I was working on the window. I do have it. It will be installed prior to delivery and the window works.Top It goes up and down with no problem and latches properly. The back window is not there. I have plexiglass there that I remove everytime I put the top down. The top looks to have shrunk a little (most notably on the sides above the door windows. One seam is loosing some thread but no tears.Drivetrain 472 V8 - Biggest motor I ever owned. It starts and drives with no problem. After it warms up it will burn rubber easily. Doesn't smoke, ut does drip a little. The transmission shifts strong just like it should but does drip. The rear end doesn't make any noise. The power steering is that fantastic one finger steering (very powerful) but it drips a little. I did change the pressure and return hoses. The carb and air cleaner are not original and the A/C Condenser (by the radiator) is missing. The battery is strong and only about a year old.Things I recommend that should be done (or i will do if it doesn't sell) is a radiator flush, rans filter change, ull all the wheels and check all the brake pads and drums. It will pull a little to the right when stopping, ut NO drips here and a 3 gauge set from your local auto part store (Oil, olts and Temp). A 1964 Caddy and older in this shape will cost between $7 and $9. 1965 and newer will be there soon so if it doesn't sell I will enjoy it. Who wouldn't enjoy driving a Caddy Convertible in Southern California.Oh ya if your a low baller don't worry - GO FOR IT !!! I Love those emails - "I will offer you $900 right now if you end the auction" God loves us all and these emails are hilarious.I have a 100% rating for a good reason. I am a God fearing man and don't need to cheat people out of money to be happy.Ask A LOT of questions - I may have forgotten something. This car turns heads everywhere I go. If you want something to just get in and drive at a reasonable price this is it.Thanks for looking.
