1975 CADILLAC ELDORADO HDTP COUPE; 29K ORIG. MI. UNRESTORED TIME CAPSULE (video)

Two-owner un-restored 1975 Cadillac Eldorado hardtop coupe with 29,293 original miles. The car was purchased new in NY and moved to MD in 1978. There is documentation showing the warranty folder and mileage verification when the car was purchased. The original MD title dated from 1978 is included too.

The Rosewood metallic paint is all original and there is no apparent body work or repainting except for the plastic bumper covers in the front and rear. It is obvious the car spent its life in a garage because there is no rust coming through or bubbling. There is an area on the left front fender where the original owner apparently bumped the garage (see photo), but the rest of the car is in excellent condition.

The Dark Crimson interior is 100% original in the Monticello patterned velour and includes a pillow in the rear seat area.

As far as options; the tilt wheel, power seats, power steering, power brakes (disc front and drum rear), and power antenna all work. Owner acknowledged that the AM/FM radio works as well as the 8-track tape player. The trunk release and auto close function normally too.

The 4 white wall radial tires are new and have less than 100 miles on them. A new tailpipe, muffler, and exhaust were recently added too.

The 500 c.i. Cadillac V-8 rated at 185 h.p. starts, sounds, and runs as it should. There are no apparent leaks. Owner claims the A/C does work but needs to be charged.

Undercarriage is very solid and shows primarily surface rust. No holes in the floors, rocker panels, or frame.

Current owner contemplated sanding and painting the surface scale but believed it would hide the true authenticity of the Cadillac. It is a true time capsule and head turner wherever it goes and destined to be a classic.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for more than 15 years and maintained a 100% rating during most of that period. Approximately 10 years ago I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
