1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 1 Owner Estate Car Sunroof CB Compass Original

The car was purchased new in Salina. KS about 70 miles away and the car has been here its entire life. It was owned by the people who owned the local toy store for years. It is showing right at 37. 00 miles. it looks like it could be actual miles. but I don't know if it has been around once or not. This car has always been well maintained at the local Cadillac dealer. but it has not been driven regularly for years. The car has sat in the garage for the last several years. It does run and drive fine and I did take it down the highway for a few miles. The car does run out nicely. but I would NOT consider the car roadworthy at this time. It has been sitting too long and I would have it all checked over by a professional before considering the car roadworthy. This is a nice original. but definitely not a high point show car. It is a loaded Biarritz with factory Sunroof. CB radio and factory Cadillac compass. The original owners manual is included with the car. Body - This car does need ALL bumper fillers replaced as most of these cars do. The paint still looks decent. but it is showing its age with some fading and chips and scratches. The car is nice and solid with no rust out. The vinyl top looks good. All panels fit nicely and open and close as they should. The trunk pull down still works. The windows work. I have not tried the sunroof. All chrome and trim looks good except the hood ornament and trunk emblem. At the estate sale where I bought the car. someone tried to pry the wreath off of the trunk and broke it and they broke the hood ornament off. the parts are there as pictured. The wreath on the trunk is broken. the hood ornament looks good. but the spring that holds the ornament on was broken. so the base and the crest are there. but seperated. The glass is good. It still has all of the original hubcaps. It still has the original selling dealers name plate on the trunk. Drivetrain - The car does run and drive fine. but as stated. it has been in storage for years. so I would not consider it roadworthy. The car has the original 425 Cadillac in it. It starts and runs fine. I did notice a puddle of coolant under the car when I got it out for pics. and I haven't had time to see what it is. There is no trouble going into gear and it floats down the road nicely. I have not tried the a/c. but I am sure it will at least need charged from sitting. It will load on a transport with no problems. but as stated. I would not take off down the highway in it without having the car checked out as far as tires. brakes. belts. hoses. fluids. etc. Interior - The interior is nice and completely original. There is a crack in the dash. The steering wheel trim trim has some chips. The front and back seats are both nice. The door panels are both good. The headliner is good. It has the original Delco CB radio and factory Cadillac dash compass. It still has the original floor mats in it. Trunk - The trunk still has the original Cadillac trunk mat in it. The spare is there with the original inflator bottle and jack. I do have clear title for the car. KS residents are responsible for sales tax. $500. 00 deposit is due within 5 days of the end of the auction. balance is due in cash or certified funds before the car leaves. No paypal.
