Car description

33,900 mile, 9 passenger Fleetwood. I am thoroughly impressed with the original qualities of this car. Comes with documentation and maintenance records going as far back as 1979. I am also excited about this car, and it seems like everyone else here at Volo is too. It's different. Great for entertaining friends and family going to dinners, parties, sports events etc.
EXTERIOR: Look down the 21 ft long sides and it is laser straight. All the body panels and trim fit like new. Doors shut like a new car. It reflects whatever is next to it like a mirror. Clean, dry body with only 1 exterior repaint. Beautiful slate green metallic color with a clear coat that has been polished like glass. It even feels slick. Door jambs are original and super clean, the original color was more gray. The chrome and stainless trim is in amazing original condition. The chrome bumpers, tail lights, emblems, door handles are in excellent shape. Stainless moldings and trim are real straight and shiny. The grill is mint. The original hubcaps are in very nice shape. Original weatherstrips are in good condition. All the glass is original including the windshield. No ugly vinyl top. Has unique air inlets forward of the trunk for the trunk mounted air conditioning system. It's a handsome car.
INTERIOR: In my opinion the interior is extremely well cared for and certainly supports the 33,900 actual miles. It appears to be original from carpet to the headliner. In back it has carpeted folding footrests with chrome hardware and fold out jump seats. It also has rear climate controls in the armrest. The rear a/c vents are in the roof. Factory seat belts practically look new. The interior lights all work. The upholstery is excellent, not worn, torn or stained. Door panels are very, very nice. The wood grain trim is still pristine. The chrome throughout the inside is mint I've even looked in most the ashtrays and they don't even look used. I do believe the carpet is still the original and in very good shape. Upfront has a 6-way power seat, Am-Fm radio and a stereo hidden in the glovebox. The whole dash area is excellent. The chrome sparkles, lenses are clear.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The big 429 motor runs as quiet as a mouse in slippers. It really is so smooth you can barely hear it or feel it. The engine compartment is an excellent example of very well preserved original. Everything looks proper, tidy and very clean. The fiberglass heater box has never been painted over, all the wiring and vacuum lines are still run neatly. Has power steering, brakes, air conditioning and tri-note horn.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Has a vacuum power trunk release. The entire trunk compartment is still boxed and lined in gray cloth and carpet. Spare tire has matching cover on it.
UNDERSIDE: Very clean preserved condition. Has insignificant surface rust, no flaky or rotten metal. It is clean, rock solid original metal. Even the inner rockers, body mounts and drain plugs on the inner quarters are clean. New balljoints, misc bushings and shocks. Has air shocks in back. Brake hoses and blenders look recent. Muffler and tailpipe is recent. Chassis components are clean. Bottom of the motor and trans are clean. Had original turbo 400 automatic. Not caked in grease, not rotten, looks like a well cared for low mile car.
I am not saying this is perfect like a brand new restoration. I am saying it appears to be in outstanding original condition. I see many restored cars, I dont see many originals this good. It functions as good as it looks too. Rare collectible car that you can have fun with.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
