GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this classic 1937 Cadillac Series 60! This outstanding vehicle comes in the customary black paint job complemented by a clean gray interior. Powering the Cadillac is believed to be the original 322 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a smooth manual transmission. Additionally, a total overhaul was completed on the V8 within the past few years. Some other improvements to the vehicle include new turn signals, new brake lights, new side mirrors, new fuel filter, new electric fuel pump and more. This vehicle comes to us from a collector who spent a fair bit of money making this classic road worthy by today's standards. So if you've been considering stepping into a true American classic you can't go wrong with this Series 60 Cadillac. Please call or email us today for more information.
The Cadillac Series 60 was Cadillac's mid-priced entry in the luxury vehicle market when it appeared in 1936. It was replaced by the Series 61 in 1939, but a model that was derived from it, the Sixty Special, continued off and on through 1993. The Series 60 was the brainchild of new Cadillac manager, Nicholas Dreystadt. Debuting in 1936, it filled a gaping price gap between the LaSalles and Series 70 Cadillac models. Initially it rode on a 121.0 in wheelbase and shared the B body with cars from LaSalle, Buick, and Oldsmobile. This went up to 124.0 in in 1937-38.
