1939 Cadillac LaSalle 4-door sedan

I recently purchased this car.Some one started to a restoration in 1963-64.They took off the stainless and removed the items that you see are not on the car.I have the stainless, lights and items removed.The only things I haven't found were the stone guards that go on the leading edge of the rear fenders.Looks like the front brakes were replaced didn't check back yet.This car passed thru 3 owners w/nothing being done.As you can see there are vinyl door panels installed.Looks professionally done.All interior metal and dash painted.I'm not sure when this was done. Look the pictures over,some close-ups were taken to show rust damage.Actually car is very solid for it's age. The engine is stuck.Cylinders look ok,I believe the rod bearing are whats holding it from turning. In my search for another engine,in the event this was couldn't be repaired,I found another car. The glass in this car is great,no bubbles or fog in glass.Bottom of doors very solid trunk lid solid.fenders have a very few small imperfections.
