OVERVIEW: Welcome. Up for sale is a 1994 Cadillac Sedan Deville. This exceptionally clean, survivor is being offered with NO RESERVE and will sell to the high bidder. Please do not bid if you do not intend to complete the sale in person via cash. I will allow up to 14 days for the winning bidder to make arrangements to come pay for, pick-up, and have the title transferred on the car. Clean PA title in hand in my name. Again, this car is to be paid for by cash in person and the title must be notarized before being taken to your state DMV (if outside PA) or legallytransferred and sales tax, title etc. paidper state law here in PA (if PA buyer). The car could certainly be driven where you desire, as it is freshly inspected and serviced. I just took it on a 265 mile trip earlier this week, and it performed flawlessly, getting 25 mpg on the trip, including traffic and congested areas!
MY STARTING BID IS A BARGAIN FOR A CADDY IN THIS CONDITION. Inspected with a near-showroom interior and exceptional body with no rot! See the photos of the door bottoms! A super-clean, well-preserved and maintained example. These early-mid '90s models are on the rise, with the next 5-10 years to only lead to further appreciation, and the value in this condition per industry leading classic car valuation tools is well over double my starting price.
BACKGROUND: I purchased this Cadillac in March of 2018 from one of my best friend's family. It was his late grandmother's car and had been in storage for about six years upon her passing. She always cared extremely well for the car, as did the original owner. They both owned it for about 12 years each, then I purchased it from her son/my buddy's uncle. As the clean CARFAX shows (will be given to the winning bidder), both owners cared for this Caddy meticulously, with oil changes every 3-4K miles and all the recommended services along the way. MILEAGE IS ACTUAL AT 125K, but the title was marked EXEMPT when they transferred the title from my buddy's grandmother to his uncle when she could no longer drive. This happens often in PA when people go to the notary and forgot to note the mileage first. The CARFAX and Autocheck both show the progression of miles as actual, and I am 100% certain that they are actual. The six years with few miles is due to the storage/not being driven. I refreshed/restored it when buying it in the spring of 2018. I have more old cars now than I can begin to drive on nice days, and therefore the reason for sale. The condition of this car both inside and out makes it look like a car with 25K! The miles are low for the year, at only 5K a year, so it is not too low to have things act up from sitting, but not high either.
NEW PA INSPECTION GOOD UNTIL 6/2020. Passed without a single issue or problem found.
NEWLY REPLACED AFTER STORAGE WITH LESS THAN 1,500 MILES ON: Brand new Milestar white-stripe tires (old ones had great tread but some dry rot, so I replaced them for safety); new battery; oil and filter change; brake fluid changed; all new brake lines (from ABS unit to rear axle); new fuel pump, filter, & sending unit assembly (dropped tank and replaced). REPLACED BY PREVIOUS OWNER WITH LOW MILES ON: starter; alternator; muffler; water pump (I believe) and belt.
KNOWN FLAWS:I re-glued the fabric carriage roof down with industrial strength headliner/carpet adhesive spray, as it was dried out and lifted up on me upon driving, hence the one small rip in the driver's rear area. I have driven it on the highway many times since and all seems good now; A/C needs recharged (I seldom drive it, so I did not see the need to take it in to be charged); the only warning message is the very common "service ride control" message. NO WARNING LIGHTS ON OR KNOWN DRIVE-ABILITY ISSUES. This ride control message in the information center was on during the previous owner's ownership and is a sensor code per the prior owner's family. I have never had the air suspension sag at all or cause any issue. Even when sitting for six years in storage, it did not drain down or sag; therefore, I saw no need to pursue diagnosis/repair on this; the front exhaust manifold has a small crack that has been repaired (passed inspection with no issue); the power rear trunk pull down is not functioning, which again has been this way since the time of the prior owner. The trunk shuts fine manually, so I would prefer to not risk the pull-down draining the battery etc. All very minor things for a 25 year old car, but I want the winning bidder to be fully satisfied with no unwanted surprises.
VEHICLE SPECIFICS: Color: Code 40 Cotillion White (classic Caddy flat white, not the tri-coat pearl white) with Dark Blue Interior. Cozy, durable Saratoga cloth. Equipped as a Cadillac should be with power features: windows, locks, mirrors and seat. AM/FM ETR Stereo Radio with Cassette. Power antenna (works well; I use the radio every time I drive the car). Equipped with the 1SB package. Front air bags. ABS brakes. Carriage roof. Gold package. Original fob (works) with original gold keys. The engine is a 4.9 liter V8 (NOT A NORTHSTAR motor), with GM's long-running 4 speed automatic transmission (4T60E) and front wheel drive. As a FWD model, it would go well in the rain and snow, although this one has not seen winters, as evidenced by the condition of the body and undercarriage.
DRIVING IMPRESSIONS: This Cadillac runs 100%, as it should. Acceleration is very adequate both off the line and in merging and passing, with brisk acceleration resulting in torque steer and/or rubber tracks. This Caddy is especially happy floating quietly down the highway, especially with the 2.73 gears, and the gas mileage is impressive, with 27-28 mpg noted. The seats are so very comfortable and it really does feel like a couch on wheels. Ride along without road rage or a care in the world in this one!
FINAL REMINDERS: A very clean, serviced, well-maintained CLEAN CARFAX '94 Caddy Sedan Deville being offered with NO RESERVE! Payment is to be CASH IN PERSON and the title is to be notarized before release. Delivery via driving the car away or via truck and trailer should occur at time of payment and title transfer. CLEAN, CLEAR PA title in hand in my name. A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is to be made within 24 hours of auction's close or the car will be relisted and a non-payment mark made with eBay. You are entering a legally binding agreement to buy the car, not think about it. Please make sure both your schedule and distance needed to come buy the car are agreeable before bidding as well. A smooth, fair transaction for both of us is my goal.
Please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. I am willing to accommodatewithin reason. Thanks for looking and good luck bidders!
