Car description |

Available is an original 1974 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with only 51,525 miles on it! The engine is the 472 cubic inch the factory installed. It starts and runs perfectly and the transmission shifts into all gears and reverse without issue. When there is a reference to "rides like a Cadillac", this is the era people refer to. It is in a class all its own.

The pictures show just how clean this car is. This Coupe DeVille is the best color combo offered with a black vinyl roof, black paint, and black interior. The seats are the upgraded Mardi Gras option that is a velour black and white. There are no tears in the seats, front or rear.
The bright work and chrome on this vehicle is present and perfect. It even has the bright chrome front on the hood which is a stunning eye-catcher. The windows are perfect. The carpet is perfect and the original floor mats are provided. The dash is not cracked anywhere. The steering wheel is not cracked. The package tray is perfect. The speedometer and odometer function. All of the lights work on the interior and exterior with (2) exceptions. One of the driver's door lights is out and there is an under-dash light which likely needs a replacement bulb. The original waste receptacle in the foot well on the passenger's side is present.
The door jambs are clean. The hubcaps are perfect. The seat belts work and are unstained.
The power driver's seat works and the power door locks and windows function. This car has the fiber optic headlight, blinker, and tail light indicators for the driver to see. The headliner is perfect and has no sags or stains.
This car has a power closing trunk lid and it functions perfectly. The light in the trunk works.
All of the original badging, interior and exterior, is present and in perfect condition.
The tires on this car have less than 1,000 miles on them and the brakes are good with no pulsing or shimmy. The car drives without any vibration. The rear shocks are new.
The engine compartment shows all of its original parts right down to the air intake muffler. The air conditioning functions but there is a pin hole leak in one of the hoses so any recharge of the Freonleaks out over the course of a month or so. I just never really needed it so I didn't replace that hose. Because the car has never seen a snowflake or cold weather for that matter, the heat was of little importance to me. It could probably use a flush. There are no leaks from the heater core.
The trunk area is clean and original.
The factory radio radio powers on and raises the power antenna, however there are no disco tunes (it's a 70s car after all) which thump from the speakers. The clock is running currently and it kept perfect time until I changed the time this spring for daylight savings time. It now runs (you can hear it), but the time does not roll. It likely needs a cleaning.
The rear bumper fillers have all been replaced and show as new. For those who are sticklers to detail, I have the original aluminum corner pieces which should be located in the inner portion of the rear tail light columns and curve to the upper rear bumper area, but just haven't installed them. They are very hard to find anywhere, if they could be found at all!
Based on the see through hood ornament, this car may be a D'elegance. I just haven't verified that detail yet.
Even though there are a few very minor blemishes on the exterior of this car, the fact this car is all-original outweighs having them addressed. They are only original once!
I've owned the car for several years. If you don't like to be noticed and complimented while travelling, this is not the car for you. I searched for many years to find a Cadillac in this color combo and in this shape. This one ticked all the boxes!
I can provide enclosed delivery of the DeVille to anywhere in the lower 48 states for a negotiated price or I can assist in transport of your choice and means.
If you have any further questions, would like to see the car, or would like pictures of anything specifically, please let me know. I'd be happy to get you what you need.
Thanks for looking!
Eric
