I recently purchased this car from a gentleman who owned it for the last 35 years. he bought it with 300 miles in 1980 and put the remaining miles on over the last 35 years. It was mostly kept in his condo parking garage and obviously never used. Because of the poor storage. the chrome trim. specifically the doorhandles and mirrors are pitted. The door handles are available after market. but are currently on backorder. This car is the original Firethorne red with white leather interior. I have 100 photos listed on this car. several of them are indicative of the actual condition. however some make the car look perfectwhich it is not. it is an excellent driver quality car. I refused to do any paint work simply because the paint is original. Is a little bit of rust at the lip of the trunk lid which I have photographed. There's also some blemishes in the paint which I have photographed. The worst part of the car is the staining in the trunk lid. not sure why it is stained and it's hard to see in the photos where it has been affected. There is also a scratch on the rocker panel molding and also a dent/crease on the passenger rear quarter. It appears as though the fender extensions have been replaced. This car is loaded was several factory options which include: power windows. power locks. tilt/telescopic steering wheel. cruise control. twilight sentinel. auto dimming headlights. parade boot. etc. The interior is in excellent condition. the weather-stripping is still in great shape. The dash. steering wheel and plastic trim pieces are what you would expect for a low mileage car. Steering wheel is not cracked nor is the dashboard. The radio is functional. The clock is not. All the idiot lights work as they should. The power windows and power locks work. The top goes up-and-down. The car does need a heater core. I have a new one. Right now I have the heater core bypassed. It can be driven this way without any issues as long as you don't want heat. Air-conditioning blows cold. It has been retrofitted to R-134aThe car runs and drives excellent. indicative of a low mileage car. It handles very tight. Automatically it is not perfect but again it is original. My opinion is its not worth doing any sort of paint work unless you go all out and do a high-quality repaint. I chose to keep it original.
