Just in! • Cadillac Grand National second place winner in 2017, after driving to the event • "Emerit" Designation for Cadillac LaSalle Club (CLC), after five consecutive first place wins • Bare metal correct repaint in 2017 • New correct leather and top in 2007 • Long term ownership by CLC members This gorgeous 1964 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible has won numerous awards including several first place trophies and a second place at the Cadillac Grand Nationals in 2017. And this is after being driven to each... and every event, covering 22,000 miles in the past 15 years of ownership. It achieved "Emerits" status with the Cadillac LaSalle Club due to five consecutive first place wins. The Eldorado comes with many trophies and placards from various events. The Eldorados livery has received a bare metal respray in 2017 in the original Firemist Aquamarine (Paint Code 94-2), finished with four coats of clear coat. And taking an Eldorado down to bare metal is no easy (nor inexpensive) task! The paint is gorgeous and it has been blocked and sanded beautifully to provide an extremely deep luster, and has few imperfections. The chrome and stainless all are original and are in good to very good condition. Cadillac had excellent quality chrome from the factory and this example has held up very well. The interior was redone in the correct Aquamarine (Trim Code 16) leather in 2007 and is in excellent condition today. Most Eldorados don't get restored with leather because of the expense, and this has been done beautifully- thus the numerous concours wins. The white convertible top was replaced along with the interior in 2004. The power top works smoothly and well. We love the wood accents in the Eldorado. The wood veneers in this example are in nice condition. Some of the veneer has the original finish while others have been refinished. Mechanically, this Eldorado drives terrific. The transmission received a new turbo and flexplate in 2018 and the venerable 429 cu in V8 engine was rebuilt in about 1980. The brake master cylinder and power brake unit were replaced in 2018 as well. The air conditioning has been gone through, but was disconnected when the brake work was completed. There was a new compressor and dryer installed recently. The wide white wall radials have about 4,000 miles of wear and add to the safety and comfort of driving. The present owner has truly loved and enjoyed this motorcar. He was a long time board member for the Cadillac LaSalle Club (CLC), as well as other car clubs. With 15 years of ownership, steadily improving the car and showing it, they accumulated 22,000 miles. A prior owner, Ted Walters, enjoyed the car from 1979 to 1999 and was also on the board of the CLC. If you are looking for a beautiful and rare 1964 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, consider this example. It is equally at home on the show field as a weekend cruiser!
