Cadillac series 75 Imperial limousine

This is a nicely restored and slightly customized Cadillac 50-7533X Fleetwood Limousine; the rarest of the rare of Cadillacs. Only 715 of these Imperial limo's were produced in 1950. This one has a great provenance as it was purchased by a United States Army General and WW2 veteran, in the 1960's. After purchasing the car out of San Francisco from an unknown celebrity, he painted it army green, installed red velour interior, placed two American flags on the front fenders and a star on the front bumper and used it as his staff car throughout the 1960s and 70s. His name was John James Womack, and he was the Commander of the Montana National Guard during those years. He recently passed away at the age of 91 on Veterans day and is survived by his son, Jack Womack, who is currently one of the top executives of CNN in Atlanta, GA. The car still has the red velour interior in the passenger compartment installed by the General, which is of high quality. The driver's section forward of the divider window retains its original leather seat and vinyl door panels and upholstery. The original headliner is in virtually perfect condition. The original radio was removed but still retains its face and knobs so the dash looks completely original. The speaker grill drops down when the original radio selector bar is pushed revealing a stereo system with a GPS. The army green paint was removed and the US flags replaced by the skull and crossbones (sorry General) and the car was painted back to its original black. A pirate theme was airbrushed onto the car and a urethane clear coat was applied to protect it. The car has "Black Beard" on the front hood and the ship depicted is the Queen Ann's Revenge, which was the name of Black beard's ship. There is also depicted a battle with the mythical Kraken, terror of the early ships. The car runs great and is mechanically sound. There are new tires, trunk upholstery, battery, and new chrome on the bumpers and hubcaps. Additionally, the car has had a 12 volt conversion. All of the hydraulic operated windows are working as they should with a new aftermarket hydraulic pump. The original hydraulic pump was the weak link on these cars. I could not ascertain who the original owner of the car was during the 1950s, only a statement by family members that the General had stated the car was owned by "someone famous." I have not contacted GM or tried to further investigate who bought the car originally, but I'm sure it would be possible with some perseverance. The car could easily be returned to its original straight black and tan upholstery by someone wanting it completely original, since the car is straight and rust free, but the artwork and pirate theme is very cool on this car! Original motor, transmission, trans axle, and 2 speed hydromatic. 98,350 original miles, which might be slightly higher at auction's end due to entering it in a spring car show.
