Geneva concourse winner. This car is striking and the quality is extremely high. From a collector that only has the best looking, most striking cars of the 50s. When he says he wants to sell a car I immediately get excited in anticipation to find out what he has. EXTERIOR: I never use the word flawless but I've literally walked around this car twice trying to find any sort of flaw in the paint and I certainly didn't see one.... It is absolutely laser straight and it is polished out like a red mirror. I am sure it was every bit of $20,000 to paint this car. The chrome is all show quality. Door jambs are painted real nice. Upfront the bumper and the big bullets, headlight bezels, hood ornament is like a mirror. The gold anodized grill and emblems are pristine. The moldings down the side of the car are replated. In back the bumper, emblems taillights are mint. The moldings around the windshield are polished, windshield is new. The convertible top is white and in excellent condition, the rear window is clear. Right now the top and windows are up, they fit real nice. There is new weatherstrips around the doors and the top has new, correct cloth wrapped rubber. To ad even more bling it has a set of Cadillac chrome wire wheels with big fat radial whitewall tires. INTERIOR: The first thing I look at inside these old Cadillacs is to see if they paid the extra for leather or if they got cheap and went with vinyl. This one is all glove soft leather upholstery on the doors and seats. It is in excellent shape, has the correct patterns. Cushions in the seats real good and firm. The dash pad is reupholstered. The instrument area all the way across to the glove box is beautiful. The chrome sparkles, gauges are clean etc. The carpet is the correct very short loop and there are embroidered floor mats. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is meticulously detailed. The inner fenders and firewall are painted gloss red. The core support and bottom of the hood is done in a smooth satin finish black. Under the hood he has the correct insulation pad. The motor itself has a clean coat of Cadillac blue paint. The nuts and bolts, fuel pump and filter, pulleys etc are all new looking. All the components look clean and proper. It has power steering, brakes and windshield washers. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The huge trunk compartment has been completely lined in the proper red material. They did a meticulous job, it looks great. Has a big white wall spare and the jack. Jamb and under trunk lid is painted, new weatherstrip. Also included is a shop manual and awards. UNDERSIDE: Very respectable. The floors are rock solid. Cadillacs left the factory with sound deadener on the floors. The frame and suspension parts have no rust, not even pits. They are a smooth satin black. The exhaust is quite with mufflers and resonators. Front end has been gained through. Bottom of motor and trans are clean. Shocks have been replaced, new brake hoses. I will also say this collector that had this car keeps them in fabulous working order. It functions and drives beautifully. If this car doesn't impress I don't know what will. Its shear size, colors and quality combines to make one hell of a statement!
