Car description |

Jerry Lee Lewis Cadillac -1980 El Dorado Biarritz -body needs almost total exterior restoration. It could use a parts car with a decent exterior. The interior is pretty good, the undercarriage is solid. It was purchased for Jerry Lee by his, then, manager, James W. Witten of Memphis, Tennessee at Madison Cadillac of Memphis.
As with many of Jerry Lee's cars, they were purchased in someone else's name as he was having IRS difficulties. This was Jerry Lee's main wheels. Many celebrities were in this car including Keith Richards and Tanya Tucker.
The car was left alone for too long after it was stripped to prepare for painting. The exterior rusted and mice got into the motor and ate much of the wiring. The car would not be worth restoring if it didn't have the Jerry Lee Lewis connection. I purchased the car from well-known rock 'n' roll memorabilia dealer, Robert Johnson, of Memphis about 20 years ago.
