Hello eBay and welcome to my 5 day no Reserve auction!
Up for sale is a 1959 Cadillac "original" TRUE convertible Series 62
The1959 Cadillacis probably the most iconic car from the 1950's. With it's huge sharp tail fins and dual bullet tail lights.
The '59 Caddy had it all -- looks, performance, and comfort. It stood as the ultimate symbol of success, impressive and -- yes -- controversial.
Cadillac's most famous styling feature, but with each successive series of new cars these rear fender appendages grew higher and more flamboyant. By the late 1950s they had reached ludicrous proportions and were of questionable taste." These where called "The Cadillac's spectacular 'zap' fins!"
Originally from Missouri then purchase 30 years ago and moved to Louisiana where she currently sits in her garage and prances around a few times out of a month on a nice sunny day.
Purchase by the gentleman you see in the photos His favorite thing to do was to go down to his favorite Diner with his wife where they would have a small car meet, or taken to the drive-in theater on a beautiful night. He always had this fine Cadillac well maintenanceat no expensespared. You will enjoy driving this fine example and be vary proud to own, it gets a lot of attention, honks, smiles and thumbs up where ever you go..A REAL SOLID INVESTMENT!!!
He always had a love for these fine automobiles since 59 when he purchased his first new 59' Fleetwood Cadillac with cold hard cash on the table where he traveled in that vehicle to do small gigs and concerts with his band pursuing their dreams behind the wheel of a Cadillac to become famous rock and roll stars he said that car was perfect to fit all of their equipment in the back of the trunk and he needed to do it in Style and what better style there is to do it in the iconic 1959 Cadillac with two huge fins in the back of him.
That dream didn't all the way come true until he met the love of his life and settled down.
But he still probably one of the best guitarists since Jimi Hendrix himself.
Soon came there beloved the children so unfortunately the Cadillac Fleetwood had to go to purchase their home they still live in in Louisiana.
He became a very successful person in real estate and for his retirement 30 years ago he purchased himself a convertible 59' which made him feel like he was in his twenties again.
He wanted the convertible since he already has the Fleetwood and an Escalade.
Vehicle is sold because he is losing his ability to drive and does not want the vehicle to just sit in an empty garage
He said, "if you love something let it go and live on."
So he is happily letting this birdie fly away.
This vehicle is always garage kept and droven around and start it every once in awhile to help keep this automobile well-maintained.
This vehicle was always babied and maintained whether it needs to be or not.
Interior was redone costing over $6,000 not too long ago.
She has a brand white new convertible top.
New gas tank just because he thought it needed one.
And many other upgrades throughout the years to help maintain and preserve this vehicle.
Overall on the vehicle the body is an incredibly great shape for a convertible.
Very straight and SOLID 59', both doors open and shut very nice including the trunk and hood.
Vehicle does have some rust including it's typical convertible spots locate it on the lower half of the vehicle nothing through and through mostly just bubbles threw paint.
Paint is in Nice condition keep in mind last time this car was buffed polished and detailed was 15 years ago but in still very nice condition definitely a head turner but I do recommend a new paint job sense the interior and convertible top is already done and the body is nice and straight but then again if you take care of the rust bubble, spot paint and color sand and buff the whole car you definitely have a winner that is completely up to you.
Just throwing a couple of my opinions out there.
Running wise the vehicle floats just like a boat and the transmission shifts out smoothly just like a 390 should. Engine starts and purrs at the turn of the key, vehicle does NOT smoke or anything like that Idols beautifully at 400 RPMs and drives great just like you see in the video nice and smooooth.
Vehicle is equipped with power windows door locks and power seats.
Does have air conditioning but was put on by the dealership looks like to me in the 1960s.
Any other questions or concerns please DO NOT hesitate to contact me AT ANY TIME you have my complete attention because I do know it is a 5-day auction I at no Reserve!
The vehicle will also be listed locally and throughout the United States. So I have the rights to end my auction at any given time. For a test drive or any questions dont hesitate..Tel (424)382-7567
Good luck to you all and happy bidding.
PLEASE bid responsibly.
