RE-LISTED CUZ HIS WIFE SAID "NO"
I have owned this car for 10 years, and just finished it last spring. Itwas brought into Canada from North Dakota, where it was previously last registered in 1972. This was a working man’s Cadillac, with practicallynooptions. Originallya one color aquamarinetop and body, ithas no power windows, no power seats, no A/C, no tinted windows, no auto-dim headlights. The engine was seized and the transmission smelled burnt, so I junked them both and decided to build a mild custom. Some modificationsare:
Brand new290 HP GM 350 ci crate engine (PN purchased from Vickar Community Chev/Olds in Winnipeg) and installed last spring. Comes with custom polished McFarlane Tork-Link intake, Edelbrock carb, polished Edelbrock valve covers, new Electronic distributor, new Harmonic balancer, new water pump.
Rebuilt 350 Turbo Hydromatic transmission (long output shaft)
Beautiful White/Blue/BlackCustom interior

Concerns or blow-offs
I am an excellent mechanic, but I’m no bodyman. I am pretty good with a MiG welder tho. The front interior floor sections, some trunk floor areas and any other body rust-thru has all been cut out and replaced with metal from other 1956 Cadillac doors and fenders. The entire body was taken down to bare metal, epoxy primed and painted with oil-based enamel with activator and hardener. All I can say about my paint and bodywork is the car will not rust.
A couple of soft body mounts (mid cabin)
Speedometer does not work and is disconnected, but another good speedometer is included
Front tires rub when cranked to limit
Drivers side door window is cracked (flat glass)
Also Included if you arrange for shipping: 2 super-straight doors, 2 nice front fenders, 2 hoods, 1 trunk lid, rear differential, complete clean front and rear seat springs and parts, front suspension & steering parts
Included anyways: grills and grill pieces, new brake drums and shoes, controls, switches, tons of chrome trim, front and rear windshields, rear 1/4 windows and frames and a mountain of other parts that I've amassed over the years.
Paint and body would make this car a show-stopper, or keep the cash in your jeans and enjoy as-is. She’s never been turned away from a car show and I get thumbs up every time I roll !! If you have questions or need more pictures, please ask. The opening bid meets reserve and very fairly represents the cars condition. Please bid only if you have ALL required permissions....I'll work with you with shipping and paperwork. Good luck, eh!
