Up for auction is a 1955 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. The car is in good condition for its age. It starts and runs great. The car is originally a Wyoming car from new until 1989 and was then owned in Montana from 1989 until 2008. It was tagged and kept on the road up until that date. Because of where it was located, it has very little rust. The body is very solid as well as the frame. Most of the rust is confined to the floor pans (see photos). The car does not have the original engine in it. It appears to be a small block Chevy V8 from the 60's, but I am not sure all of the details of it. It still runs well. All lights and turn signals work on the car. There are quite a few cracks in the windows and 3 of the power windows work well. One of the rear windows does not. The trunk is full of extra parts, most of which appear to be original GM parts. There are about 3 sets of instrument panels and related parts, various trim pieces, lots of interior and dash parts, and many other items that will be useful in restoring it. I would estimate at least several thousand dollars of original old parts if sold separately. This car is located in Abbottstown PA, directly on Route 30. I would recommend coming to look at the car in person if possible, so you can see the condition for yourself, and start it up and see how it runs. This is a very solid car and wouldn't need much to get it looking great again. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thanks for looking!
