Car description |
---|
1979 Cadillac Seville Elegante. Great car! I have several and this is the best driver. It drives just like I remember from driving my aunt's 77. Lots of power and very fast and quick. Rides great.
I had the car reupholstered in leather with Ultrasuede inserts. The smooth leather, the perforated leather and the Ultrasuede match the original as closely as possible. The leather is very soft. The door panels and the console were also reupholstered. My preference is for the rosewood wood grain from the 76-78 models. The burled wood often fades and looks cheap to me. So I have replaced all the interior wood trim pieces with the rosewood. I have the original burled wood if you want them. Headliner has not been replaced. It is intact with no tears, but does not look as new as the upholstery. Plush Tangier carpet in great condition. Console has the tablet and pen holder.
I repainted the top black sable paint as the clear coat had started to chip. Very good paint job and the water beads right off. No dents, dings etc. Bumper fillers have been replaced, so they are new.
The ECM has been replaced and I have had no problems with it. New A/C compressor, evaporator, soft Cadillac ride shocks.and manymore things. The antenna is correct, however does not move mechanically, only manually. Those are hard to find and hard to install. Radio is a "retro radio" with a plug for MP3 player.
Original Dunlop for Cadillac wire wheels with correct caps. I have had this car about 4 years. So the tires are 3 to 4 year old Hancooks with probably 500 miles on them.
All in all, a great fun car in good to very good condition. It is my favorite car to drive, but I have others, so need to downsize.
I am glad to answer any questions. Thank you.
