Car description

1954 Cadillac Fleetwood (60S), a very nice car. Car is Viking Blue over Newport Blue (factory-correct colors). Excellent value for a modest price -- lots of expensive stuff has already been done for you!
Runs great, nicely detailed engine compartment, transmission is ultra-smooth. Recent paint, chrome, stainless, interior, rubber, tires, wire wheels, etc., etc. The accessories and power equipment all work as they should -- even the radio, power antenna, and the clock. Very few cars this old can boast of so many working accessories. We have all seen the typical ads -- "speedo, radio, clock, etc. inop". Well, this is not one of those cars. The following ALL work (many of which individually are rare to find in working order, let alone all of these): speedo, gauges, signal-seeking radio, radio remote switch, vacuum antenna, vacuum wipers, clock, electric 4-way seat, all four electric windows, air conditioning.
71,000 miles, factory A/C updated to work with R134A. Car is in excellent condition and always been garaged . The following is a list of the things done to it since 2009:
-- Went through the engine lightly. Pulled the valve covers, intake and oil pan to inspect the engine internally. The oil pan was cleaned and a new oil pump installed while the pan was off. Bottom of the engine is solid and clean. The valve covers and intake were sent out and powder coated in the correct color and valve covers were white lettered.
-- Distributor was pulled out and rebuilt/restored
-- Generator was pulled and sent out and restored
-- Power brake booster was likewise sent out for complete rebuild
-- Air filter was also powder coated in black color
-- All proper decals were purchased and engine now looks pretty much like it would have when it was new
-- Missing rotted rubber grommets were identified where they could be on the car and new installed.
--Here is where the expensive stuff begins. All the bright work, and I mean all of it was pulled off the car, bumpers and any other chrome plated piece were sent out to be stripped and re-plated - Cadillac insignias on side, lettering on trunk deck and hood "V" and insignia were plated with 18K gold - just a nice little touch a Cadillac should have. All the stainless was pulled and buffed. The stainless is not perfect. The investment in the bright work alone was almost $9,000.
-- Wire wheels were added
--The car was repainted to match the trim tag in its proper two-tone colors
-- New headliner
-- New carpet
-- New gear shift knob - not a big thing but it was a pain getting one the exact correct color as all the aftermarket stuff is white
-- The Wonder-bar radio was pulled out and sent out for restoration. It now plays AM/FM and has an IPod port in lieu of the original AM only. Wonder-bar foot pedal works perfect
-- Clock was sent out and restored and works correctly
-- Taillight lenses were replaced
-- Vacuum antenna was sent out and rebuilt and works correctly
-- New vacuum wiper motor -- wipers work correctly.
-- New battery.
New hood springs and some more rubber items go with the car.
