Looking to add a unique Firemist paint to your Cadillac Collection? MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this 1976 Cadillac Coupe de Ville for your inspection. 1976 was the final year for the fourth-generation de Ville models. This example was made in Cadillac's Linden, New Jersey factory during the second week of July 1976 and delivered to Dietzcsh Cadillac-Pontiac in Binghamton, New York. This car came out of a prominent collection and miles understood to be 11,xxx but sold on a milage exempt title without documentation.

This car left Linden with the following options - Firemist color, De Ville Cabriolet, leather upholstery, AM/FM stereo with tape player, tilt/telescope steering wheel, Twilight Sentinel, rear window defroster, cruise control, remote right sideview mirror, interval wipers, opera lamps, fuel level monitor, wire wheel discs and more.

Finished in a rarely seen Greenbriar Firemist (code 93L) with a Dunbarton Green cross-grain padded vinyl roof (code 32T), this car's paint and trim are in overall excellent condition, though there are some minor blemishes on the left rear quarter panel, another on the vinyl roof's right side and some minor trim discoloration visible near the windshield. The car's windows are all in very good order, as are its lights, including the rectangular headlights, which were in their second year of use in North America.

This Cadillac rides on American Classic whitewall tires, size 235/75R15 and surrounding factory wire wheel covers. The tires and wheel covers are in overall very good condition. The car's body panels are straight and solid, the bumpers look great and the vinyl roof mentioned earlier is in excellent order. The engine bay is very tidy and the battery looks new.

Beneath that wide hood lies Cadillac's 500 CID V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor and Delco's High-Energy Ignition, which eliminated the need for ignition points and coil wires, and the engine is backed by a Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Driver convenience features include air-conditioning, cruise control, tilting and telescoping steering column, power steering, power brakes, power front seat, power windows, power mirrors, power locks, tinted glass and rear window defroster. All power accessories work as designed. This car also has a sunroof delete option and an optional passenger sideview mirror.

Inside, the Antique Dark Blue-Green leather interior (code 322) looks sumptuous. The leather bench seats are in fantastic shape. This model has the optional split front bench. The matching carpet is in great shape, as are the headliner, instrument panel, three-spoke steering wheel and inner door panels. All of the gauges and warning lights function as designed. The mirror glass and shift lever are in good order. Rounding out the interior is a factory AM/FM stereo with tape player.

In 1976, the grille saw a new and finer crosshatching pattern. Cornering lamps got new horizontal chrome trim while tail lamps gained a new bold look. Eight different color accent stripes were available. New trims included sporty plaids, plush velours, knits and 11 distinctive genuine leathers. Coupe de Villes had a new vinyl roof whose top molding served as a continuation of the door "belt" molding. A controlled (limited-slip) differential was included for extra traction.

New turbine-vaned and wire wheel covers were offered. A new option locked the doors when the transmission lever was shifted to "Drive." Cadillac also offered Track Master, a computerized skid prevention system that automatically pumped the back brakes in an emergency to shorten stopping distance. New options included a push-button Weather Band built into the AM/FM stereo signal-seeking radio, power passenger and manual driver seatback recliners for 50/50 front seats. Of the 15 standard and six optional Firemist body colors, 13 were new this year. New standard features included map lights, tinted glass, spare tire cover, washer fluid level indicator and steel belted radial whitewall tires.

Car comes with original window sticker, original warranty information, original customer receipt and other, assorted documents.

Competitors to this Cadillac in 1976 included Cadillac's own Eldorado Coupe, Lincoln's Continental Mark IV and Chrysler's New Yorker Brougham coupe, along with Buick's Electra Limited and Riviera two-doors, Oldsmobile's 98 Regency and Toronado Brougham two-doors and Mercury's Marquis Brougham two-door.

This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 11,928 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
