Car description

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! FINAL BID WINS!!!
Up for auction is this 1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible in good running and driving condition. It has only 63,404 original miles (subject to change based on current use). The body is very straight for it's age, minimal rust for it's age and a great candidate for a restoration. The tires and exhaust have only a few thousand miles on them. The battery is brand new as of this week. Car sits far toomuch and needs a better home. Convertible top is in bad shape and needs to be replaced. Power top motor was inoperable this weekend when I decided to wake the car up from hibernation to sell it. So I hooked up screw guns and lowered the topusing them instead. The cable system and scissor top work fine. AC doesn't blow cold but heat works. The car drives like you are on a cloud and it is tight and runs good. The car has old gas in the tank, probably 2-3 years old. I put additives and dry gas in as well as filled the tank with 93 octane but she still doesn't idle silky smooth. The secondaries in the 4 barrel carb kick in nicely and the car does idle fine, just a little rough. I drove it about 50 miles this weekend and it drove great. I did discover that the water pump has a slight wobble to it and should be replaced before it goes bad. I noticed that the power seat was not working but it did last year when I last drove it. Also the power antenna switch is not working. This car sitting so muchoutside is killing it. I'd really like to see it go to someone who will bring it back to it's glory days! With only 63,000 miles and very solid bones to work with this is a great candidate for a restoration. I hate to let it go but I just don't have the time to get to it and I can't stand to see it wither away. The seats arewhite leather and are worn as you would expect for a convertible of this age but surprisingly they are in pretty good shape with no big tears, foam exposed, etc. considering their age.
The car is being sold as-is where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Car must be removed within 7 days of end of auction or storage fees of $10 per day will be charged. Cash in person is preferred. Buyer is solely responsible for shipping / removal/ pick up of vehicle.
This is a project car that has great bones to work with. Throw a cheap paint job on it and enjoy during sunny days as is or restore the car to it's original glory... your choice. Either way this is a rare chance to get a low miles car that is in good solid shape for it's age that won't break the bank and will hold / increase it's value moving forward. I've had so much fun with this car and I'm sure the winning bidder will too!
