Up for sale here is a nicely restored 1959 Cadillac Sedan De Ville. This was a very well optioned car originally, with factoryair conditioning, power windows, E-Z Eyefactory tint glass,6 way power seat, power trunk, and even power door locks, onlythe second year this option was offered ! Unfortunately someone has removed the A/C equipment from under the hood, although the dash looks to still have the original a/c equipment. The power trunk motor has also been removed and has been converted back to a manual key switch trunk lock, which is all in good working condition. This is a nice driver quality car that would make most people very happy and would look good at most any cruise night. The car is not a 100 point show quality car however. It looks to have been a good rust free Wyoming car. The underside of the car is solid and rustfree, the passenger side frontfloor looks to have been patched before, but otherwise the rest looks to be very solid and original. This car is not some patched up rust bucket. The bottom of the doors are in near perfect condition. This is a place where these cars always rust out and you see allot of cars with the bottom'sfull of filler and patches, look at the pictures, these are in great shape ! The odometer shows, 69,615 miles, I checked the numbers on the engine block, and it is the correct, original engine for the car. The motor starts and runs good, I don't know if it's been re-built or not, but that car has had allot of other work done to it. The front ends has been re-built,with all new upper & lower ball joints, sway bar link kits, brake flex lines and new shocks all around. The car also has new WWW Diamond backradial tires. The generator has been replaced with a re-built unit and the steering box was also just re-built. An aftermarket stereo system was installed in the car with a CD player and custom box to house the radio sitting on the floor under the dash,a welcome addition when driving the car ! I have $ 5000 worth of receipts for the mechanical work done to the car.It wasrecentlypainted red, butthe original color was Woodrose Metallic. The paint job is not that old and looks Ok, but is not perfect. There are still a bunch of dents in the hood and around the car that were not removed before painting, I would describe the paint job as average at best. The seats and door panels are all original in the car, but are showing their age. The front seat, drivers side, material is thin and worn through to the point where the foam is showing through it. The rest of the seats are in Ok shape. The door panels are in Ok shape, but again are original and showing signs of wear with a few stains here and there. The headliner is original as well, there is a hole in it under the passenger sun visor, but is not noticeable until the sun visor is folded down. The carpet is new and in good condition. The dash has been re-painted to match the outside of the car, and a plastic dash cover was installed to cover the original dash pad. The front windshield has been replaced and is in good shape. The drivers side front door glass has a small crack in it coming up from the bottom. Overall this car is a good driver quality car. It has had lots of restoration work done to it and $ 5000 + wasspent on it to make it a good driver. It is straight overall with a newer red paint job. The chrome is very nice on it, it's not been re-chromed, but is very good original. Look at the pictures and you will see that the pot metal parts on the car are not pitted, the aluminum grill is not corroded, this car must have never been in the salt or left to rot in a field somewhere otherwise all these parts would show that ! I am askinga very fair price for it I feel for one that's in good condition with so much work already done to it.I have a clear title / ownership to it in my name. The car was a USA car and could be taken back to the USA with no problems. I have lots of experience importing / exporting cars and have sold several cars overseas as well and will work with an international buyer to make any sale as smooth as possible.
