In the decade before, very other US automaker had ceased production of their convertibles. Cadillac knew that 1976 would be the end of the line for theirs, aking it the last US built convertible available. Its popularity went through the roof, 56% of the year before.This Eldorado was purchased new from Kerr Cadillac Pontiac Buick Ltd, n Oakville, N. Listed on the copy of the original bill of sale as a demo car, t was sold with just 35 miles on the odometer. Kerr Cadillac sold this Eldorado Convertible on February 20th 1976, o Mr. Keith C. Woodward under his company Fairview Fittings & Manufacturing, td. The total purchase price, ncluding options was $15,358.22 - which was half the price of an average home in that area at the time. Woodward purchased five more Cadillac Eldorados at that time, s an investment. This particular Eldorado is Cotillion White, he same colour as the 200 Eldorado Bicentennial Editions made to commemorate the final convertible.Woodward kept his collection of six Cadillac Eldorados until quite recently when the family decided to sell a few off. This one was purchased by us with just 138 miles on the odometer. It was one of the few Cadillacs rarely driven by Woodward. We put another 122 miles on this Eldorado during road tests and outings after going over the car mechanically. It is an absolute joy to drive and is in time capsule survivor condition. Now showing just 250 original miles, his has to be one of the most original and best preserved Cadillac Eldorado Convertibles in existence.Anything is only original once.
