1948 Cadillac Model 6269 Body Number 8732 4dr Sedan

Due to a death in the family we are selling our 1948 Cadillac 4 Door sedan. The original plan was to race it in the La Carrera Panamericana in Mexico. Work was started with new front end suspension parts and a larger anti sway bar. We installed rebuilt front shocks from Apple Hydraulics Inc. The rear end was taken to Rear-End Specialties for a check where a new pinion seal was installed as well as outer wheel bearings and seals. Four new wheel cylinders and hoses were installed. A new steeling wheel was to be installed on the modified hub. I created a makeshift steering wheel to facilitate the moving of the car in and around the property. A larger and new drive shaft was made. The gas tank was replaced with a JAZ Fuel Cell in a steel housing. For the engine department, e have two complete units. Purchased were new coated Egge Machine pistons, ins, ushings, alve guides, eground cam, am followers and non hydraulic inserts for the cam followers. A new cam/distributer drive gear and cast aluminum valve covers were purchased. There are enough movable window channels and most of the door and trunk seals. An electric wiper motor from Classic Motor World is ready for your use. We purchased four new tires that are also ready for you. We filled in the fog light holes and were going to use them for front brake cooling. All the original parts for the fog lights, eater, adio, nterior clock, tc. are all here to reinstall if you wish. I installed most of the trim on the driver side to give you an idea of the stock look while the passenger side is more of the look we were going to use. There are two more rear fender skirts and the Hydromatic transmission as well. The hood was louvered for extra cooling and there are four wing windows.We built a third tail light.All in all there is over $5000.00 of installed and NIB parts and extras that accompany the vehicle in this sale.
