Selling a 1940 Buick Special original body. motor. transmission (except for 12 volt conversion and added an alternator and rewired entire car). Three on- the- column. Car was painted several years ago but still shows well. This car has been in Texas its entire life based upon the previous owner who claims this car was passed down from his grandfather to his father and so on. The rust free body shows car has been in El Paso. TX its entire life. This is not a super show car but rather a clean cruiser that can compete at shows but it is not a trailer queen. The floor boards and the trunk are solid and did not need any replacement. This is a solid car for its age. It has the straight eight engine and many accessories like side window shades made out of convertible material (stay fast material). fog lamps. Fulton sun visor. safety star. fender skirts. etc. It also has original factory turning lights that work. The wheels on this car are 16 inch powder coated 1936 Buick Artillery Wheels and it has 4 ply BF Goodrich 2 ¼ white wall tires. The car has been wood grained on the inside by me (not professionally done but looks good). The inside was done in the original pattern but not the original material. The motor has never been rebuilt and the car runs as an old car of this age runs. This car starts right away and is ready for the cruise. I added an electric fan to help cool the original radiator for those hot cruising days. I drive it locally to car shows and events. I lowered the car by cutting the springs I was going to add air bags but I decide it to leave it original but lower than factory. I am not looking to trade for motorcycles or newer model vehicles (1960 and up). I will consider all reasonable offers but this car is clean and complete. Buick parts are more rare and more expensive than Chevys and other GM cars. No low ballers. Also. I don’t need help selling it and I am not in a hurry to sell. Thanks for looking. Happy bidding. I reserve the right to remove this listing if this car sells locally since car is listed in another listing in TX. There are no warranties on this 1940 Buick or any implied warranties.
