In 1982 Buick brought the convertible back, the Riviera, the first convertible offered by GM since the "last convertible" as the 1976 Eldorado was advertised.

Manufactured from 1982 through 1985 the Riviera convertible served as Buick Division's Halo car. Offered in 2 colors, white and red firemist, only 3898 were built over the 4 year span and only 1114 white 1983's were produced with only a handful of those having chrome outside mirrors.
