1940 BUICK SUPER COUPEBought from a collection action last fall. Car is from Minnesota. but has been off the road for a long time and does not appear to have been driven in salt. There are just a few small rust though spots that would require metal patching: One is behind the seam where the right rear fender bolts to the body. The other is in the right floor/rocker area. The car has a lot of surface rust beyond what would be considered to be patina. Needs removal and paint protection to preserve. Interior is actually pretty nice for the age. original showing some wear and staining. mostly at the driver seat back. Dash is very nice but coltrols of early plastic or bakelite are "melted". Glass is all good. Windows roll nicely. doors slam solid. Engine is apart. and much of it is in the trunk. Trunk is nice!Front grille is like a cast repro. vintage for sure. but I don't think original. Missing rear bumper. All other parts are there but a lot of the pot metal is pitted. NICE candidate for Hot Rod or Restore!
