1958 Buick CenturyPurchased from the Bullock Collection in Grant Nebraska. Previous title shows sold by man in North Platte. NE. 1991. Nebraska’s climate is very good for preserving old cars. There is no evidence of collision damage. and no rust-trough ANYWHERE in the car. All fenders. doors. floors and trunk are solid. There is surface rust on the exterior painted surfaces. Bullock stored the car indoors. as do I. This car is complete in its trim set. with just a few small exceptions- the small trim arrow at the low part of the rear quarters- missing one. Missing one square of the 160 Square grille. Pot metal is in really nice condition. Chrome and stainless is all good. Use bumpers as-is. Minor straightening might be needed on some of the stainless. with notable straightening required on the lower left quarter rocket pod. Pass side mirror missing. Trunk lock missing. Windshield. back glass and quarter glass all original. all good. Door glass. both sides. and both side vent glass cracked. but solid. All window regulators work. Right door sags a bit. might need a lower hinge. The engine is complete and original to the air cleaner. 364 Nailhead with four barrel carb. The engine was stuck. Not wanting to disrupt the tranny or torque tube. which all seemed good. with no signs of leakage. we rebuilt the engine in place. Polished crank surfaces. reconditioned pistons. new rings. Reconditioned heads. enlarge to 1. 50 exhaust valvesRecondition block bores. ream and honeNew bearings. cleaned rocker shaftsCleaned oil pan and filter assemblyClean and rebuild carb and intake manifoldInstalled 401 distributor. new fuel pump. fuel tank cleaned. New gaskets. valves. guides Rod and Main BearingsRebuilt GeneratorThe car still needs exhaust system. but starts. runs. shifts and drives. No brake work done yet. Small leak at the water pump. come with a new rebuilt water pump- you install. The seats appear pretty good as to condition of springs. but mice were in the car. so removed the back seat. the carpet and headliner to clean out the mouse smell. Removed most of the seat back stuffing for smell. Kept the covers for pattern duplication. The car is a painter’s dream. Remove surface rust. smooth. block and shoot. No collision damage and no patch panels required. Or. just fix the brakes and drive it. Every time I have had it out on the trailer. it draws a crowd. turns heads. and make people SMILE! Great addition to any collection. Roy 303-988-0391 roysvintagecar. com
