Car description |

Apprehensively to say the least, I'm listing my 1959 Buick Invicta four door flattop. This car has been one of my favorite classics I've had the opportunity to own.It drives effortlessly and is an extremely comfortable ride. The paint is original. It was clear coated by a previous owner approximately 20 years ago. Recently went through paint correction and really brought a lot of life back into the black paint. Most of the fine imperfections and scratches removed and now it just has a deep gloss and shine to the paint. The motor is all original, 401 with an automatic trans. Drips a bit of oil, but nothing major. Starts right up, runs super smooth, doesn't overheat and goes where it needs to. It's no hotrod, but has no problem passing cars. All the chrome and trim is there except for one piece, rear window upper molding on the passenger side. I believe the Impalas and caddys of the same year fit it. Rear bumper has two quarter-ish size spots where the chrome has flaked off and there's surface rust now. Overall the rear bumper however is nice.Rubbers in good shape, doesn't leak on me in the rain.Windows go up and down, none cracked or chipped.Interiors all original with no tears in the seats.Headliner has a couple tears in it but it doesn't sag.Door panels have seen moisture and are warped at the bottom. Door cards for a caddy or Impala of the same year fit and can be fixed. There is rust on the lower doors from water not draining from the seep holes. None is rotted all the way through but the paint has left in some of those spots. I have close up photos for those interested.Bottoms of the doors, jams, hinges are all solid and in nice shape.Cars bagged on all four corners. Manual values with two gauges and four switches. No notches required. All in all, a very very nice original black paint car. 59 Buicks are definitely rare cars to run across, especially those that are in good shape as original ones. This is my 4th 59-60 Buick and easily the nicest one I've owned. Not interested in trades.
