Buick Century / Riveria / 4 door hardtop. This Buick was built in Wilmington, Delaware, and sold for the price of $3478 retail in 1955. The production number was 55088. My research on the car tells that it originally was titan red in color. As you can see by the pictures it was repainted a red and white (looks good on the car). Believe that the 4 door hardtop Riveria was introduced in 1955 per the Buick magazine article that I've got attached in my pictures. This Buick would make an excellent cruiser for someone when finished restoring. This Riveria was painted in the early 2000 era, along with an overhaul of the engine. This car belonged to my father, he passed away, and I got the car after that. Sadly I have 3 older vehicles and need to start selling them. I'm not as young as I use to be and need to clean out the garage some. I drove the car very little, and therefore it has been sitting for a long time inside my garage. The engine is the original nailhead and would say that it has less than 5k on it (probably a lot less) . Last year I tinkered with the engine some and got it running (isn't presently). This car needs some love by someone out there. When I got the car from my father my neighbor told me that this car was bought by rich people in the day ??? The car needs brake work (new lines). I did replace the master cylinder a couple years ago. The headliner needs replaced, dash needs painted and cleaned up, and get the drive train in working order. This car could be a great collector piece, and one to enjoy with the family. I am putting a low reserve on it. I really hate to let it go but the time has come. The buyer will need to provide transportation for the car. Once on the road again I would love to have a picture from the buyer for framing. THANKS for looking and if you have any questions please free free to contact me.
