Car description |
---|
This is one of the cleanest mid-80's cars I've ever seen. If you are looking for one of these, this is as close to a new car as you will likley find. All original except the following: radio has been replaced (I do not have the original), Bumper fillers have been replaced, lowering springs, buick ralley wheels and 255/60/15 tires have been added for a bit more attitude (original wheels/tires with wire wheel covers are included).
I suppose I have to cover myself and say that this is a 35 year old car and there are a few small scratches/dings, but in reality I cant imagine anyone being disapointed with the condiition of this car. Car also has some very rare options for an 85 Lesabre - soft roof delete, handing package with front and rear sway bars, and an 8.5 inch limited slip diff. (most of these came with the much weaker 8.2 and no posi). Whoever special ordered this rare coupe got just about the same options that I would have wanted. I purchased it from the estate of the original owner and had plans of making a "sleeper" with a big high HP engine, but can not bring myself to make major changes like that to this car- its just too nice and original.
Everything works like you would expect except that the check engine light comes on once in a while. I checked the code and it reads TPS(throttle position sensor) so that may need repaced, but it does not affect the way this cruiser drives down the road so I have not yet changed it.
Car is advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early and I encourage you to come have a look if you can because pictures do not do full justice.
