Car description

Back in the probation era these Buicks were smugglers' favorites. Thanks to their powerful 6 cylinder engines, Police had no luck in chasing them down with their Fords or Chevys. That's why they were nicknamed "Whiskey 6".

In this auction you are bidding on a 1920 Buick Whiskey K6-44 Roadster that it's foundation has been pretty much restored. We bought it, like this, almost 20 years ago. Since then has been sitting in our museum reserve. We also have a Chassis + Engine + transmission + Steering + Wheels + Gas tank + Radiator & Etc. of a 1919 Buick H6-45 Touring (last photos of the gallery) that if you win the auction for the 1920 red car, you can have the parts car for an additional $2000. This is a great foundation for a restoration project as there is absolutely no rust and it has always been kept in a climate controlled environment. The project is more than half way done and it is pretty much in need of finishing touches. We also have the convertible top frame and back window but the roof needs to be made.

Vintage Car Museum of Hardy, AR was the result of a lifetime chasing Brass Era Motorcars and horseless Carriages by one self-made businessman. Ernest Sutherland is a Model T Guru as well. You can probably acquire all kinds of Model Ts, their pats and literature dating back to 1900s from his collection. The museum, that once was the pride and joy of the city of Hardy, Arkansas, became isolated after a new shortcut to expressway cut almost all the traffic to this beautiful little town. Also, for his own health, Ernest’s family have asked him to cut back from his workaholic lifestyle . . . All and all bring some lucky ones of you to this point that he is selling off all the museum cars for some great prices. some of them for literally what he paid for them 10 or 20 years back. some of them cars are quite unique and deserve a new caring custodian. We sold half of them here, more than a year ago and we intend to sell the rest within the next two months.
