This 1953 Buick Convertible 'Jolene' mild custom was completely built by Chris Carlson Hot Rods out of Mulvane Kansas. This car was completed in October of 2019 and was debuted at the SEMA Show. 'Jolene' features a few body modifications such as shaved handles, 1954 Chevy tail lights, smoothed roll pan, hood and deck lid emblems removed, along with many other emblems removed from the body. She is powered by a rebuilt 1962 401 Buick Nailhead backed with a 700R4 transmission and a rebuilt 9 3/4" Buick rear end. An American Autowire Highway 22 wiring harness, Dakota Digital gauges, IDIDIT Vintage Plug Wires, Vintage air, Steele Rubber Products, March Performance front runner, Boom Mat sound deadening and Boom Mat thermal insulation, stainless Magnaflow exhaust and mufflers, DEI Powersports header wrap on the headers and entire exhaust system, DEI muffler heat shields, Deeds Engineering V-Band clamps and exhaust hangers, all of the bright work is done in a polished and brushed nickel plating combo by Ogden Chrome, complete custom interior by Chris Carlson Hot Rods, Heidts Suspension mustang ii front end and ladder bar rear end, Ride Tech shocks and air bags, Accuair Suspension Elevel air ride control, Accuair Suspension in tank pumps for a clean and quiet air ride compressor, hidden bluetooth stereo, Ididit steering column, the paint is a custom mixed PPG blue with tons of crystal and glass that will make a Bass Boat jealous in the sun and in the shade looks like a gorgeous solid deep dark blue.
