Car description

This is a running, driving, project car from the Jet Age, or Atomic Age of Car Design. Fins, Rocket boosters, flowing lines, two tone paint jobs, white wall tires... It turns heads everywhere it goes. Perfect for your daily and Instagramadventures. As seen in the photos, it shows well on the exterior, and needs the interior redone to be a great looking car all over. With original paint, and no carpet, it's impossible to hide any mystery bodywork or rust. What you see is what you get. The only major dent on the car is in the rocker and lower part of the front passenger door, see the photos. The front end is peppered with rock chips and wear, there are minor dings throughout. If you want detailed pictures of anything at all, please ask! I want to make sure there is nothing hidden. It's what I appreciate when buying a car and want to do the same for anyone buying one of mine.
*It features a speedometerthat fills up red like a thermometer as you speed up, and... what you see is actually a mirror! the gauges are all recessed in thew dash, facing up to the sky. MirroMagic dash... a one year only feature!*The car starts with a push on the gas pedal, not the key! Turn the key to "on" then step on the gas and it fires up. 1960 was a great time for different, innovative ideas for the fun of it.*1960 was also the first year to ever feature the iconic triple shield emblem that Buickis recognized by today.
It shows 28,000 miles. I would assume it's at 128,000 miles. I was driving this car about 4 hours this past Sundaywith zero issues. Of course there is no warranty, but I feel this is a nice around town car. It'll do freeway speeds, no problem, but with drum brakes and no seatbelts (never had any).... that's up to you.
Why am I selling it? I've had this car 4 or 5 years. I did the work to bring it back to life, after it spending a decade or two sitting in a high desert... I got it running and driving, and this is one of many in my collection. I'm downsizing a few to make room and reduce overhead (registration, upkeep, insurance, etc)Yes, I am willing to sell the car overseas, but you must do the arranging work.
It starts easily, stops and drives without too much trouble. It has no power assist on the brakes or steering, so, if you'renot used to that, that means it takes more pressure on the brake pedal to stop, and takes almost twice the number of revolutions of the steering wheel to turn corners. It takes some getting used to. Both those systems can be upgraded to power systems. Brakes will be the easier swap, while the steering requires more parts and work. I'd started collecting parts to give it power steering, those are all included in the sale: power steering pump, pulleys, brackets. It will still need the power steering gear box, pitman arm, and hoses... but it will make a world of difference, and well worth the effort and expense. It'll give it that old cruiser one finger steering.
Below I'm giving a rundown of what I've done to the car, what it needs, in my opinion. Of course, if you want to give it a full custom tubular chassis, with a Chevrolet LS and a 6 speed, and race it... go for it!
