1989 Buick Riviera 63,770 Miles From New 2 Owner, Well Documented Black over Red, Original and Excellent Fantastic, Fully-Functional Digital Dash Display VIN: 1G4EZ11CXKU406840 We purchased this super-clean '89 Riviera from a gentleman in Pennsylvania, the second owner. He had purchased the car back in 1993, and the car had 22k miles on it at the time. Over the course of the next 25 years he enjoyed the car fairly routinely, putting another 40k miles on it while splitting driving duties with his '66 Caprice... 396 show car. This car is an excellent late-80s time capsule, with the advanced-for-the-era digital dash display and onboard computer, allowing the driver to control the car's powered systems through a touch screen, as well as track things like miles per gallon, fluid levels, temperature, etc. As it sits now, this is an extremely well-kept, low-mile Riviera in a good colorway and with a known history from new. Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes are all shown close-up and under direct sunlight. - Original paint with the exception of the hood, as confirmed with a paint gauge. Despite it's age, the paint is excellent. This car has always been garage-kept and it shows. Red pinstripes are a nice touch. - Glass and light lenses are clear and crack-free, and the lights and signals are all functional. Weatherstripping is excellent throughout. - Stock wheels are excellent, with no curb rash or damage. Tires are older than would be ideal, but aren't dry rotted or too worn. - Really nice, dry, clean body. There's a little door ding on the lower driver door, but that is of course very minor. No bubbling in any corners of body panels, and no other damage. Again, an enthusiast-owned, garage-kept car. Interior: - Please defer to the photos and video, but the interior is pretty impressive. Original carpet is still nice and fresh, door sills are spotless, and even the outer seat bolsters are in nice shape. Only very minor signs of age or wear on the driver's seat bottom; no burst seams, fraying, tears, punctures, or burn marks. NON-SMOKER, no strange smells or anything like that. - Dash is in excellent shape, with no cracks, scuffs, warping, discoloration, or other damage. "Wood" faces present well and are free of hairline cracks, peeling, or glaring signs of age. The black plastic cover piece where the gear lever slides back has had a little black stuff peel off, visible in the interior close-ups. Again, extremely minor, but we're nitpicking here. Digital dash display and onboard computer is fully functional and a super cool period accessory. Powered systems are all controlled through here - climate control, radio, calendar, RPM display, full system check (fluids, temp, MPG, RPM, etc.) - Odometer reads 63,770 miles and is functional and accurate based on known history, records, and observable wear. - Powered systems: Air conditioning blows nice and cold, heat and fan are functional, all dash and interior lights are functional, radio is functional, wipers, windows, and locks are all functional. - Headliner is clean and tight. - Car will come with two sets of red floormats. One set original and pretty nice, one set replacement and mint. Mechanical / Underbody: - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. Car is in great shape underneath. No damage, through rust, or really anything out of the ordinary to note. Very nice overall. - The car runs and drives beautifully. It starts right up first turn, idles cool and steady, accelerates smoothly with no clunks or delay from the transmission, has excellent, very light steering, and the ride quality is great. No shakes, rattles, or other noises or tendencies of concern. No exhaust leaks, car is nice and quiet. The car tracks straight down the road, and brakes straight and effectively. Daily-driver ready without hesitation. With any further questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to Jake at 773-303-6122.
