Car description

I never thought the day would come but due to circumstances beyond my control I must sell my Buick GS Stage 1 collection. This listing is for my 72 Stage 1 coupe and I will be also listing my 1970 Stage 1 convertible 4 speed as well.
I bought this car about 8 years ago from a gentleman in NC who had owned it for a number of years. This car is pretty much all original except for one repaint back in the late 80s. The body of this car appears to have all of its original sheet metal . The body is extremely solid due to it being a southern car most of its life. After 30+ years it still presents well. IT does have some nicks, Chips that have been touched up here and there but it still looks great especially in the sun it just glows. This car originally did have a vinyl top but that was not replaced when it was painted. The bumpers are original and solid. All of the trim is original to the car except the small hurst emblem on the trunk.
The interior is clean and original. The dash is nice with no cracks. The radio is the original AM/FM but it does not work. The fuel gauge does not work but the tach and speedo do. The tach was added at some point in the cars life. The seats still feel nice and the headliner is still in good shape. The carpet is showing its age and it does have its original Buick floor mats in it. The power windows all work but are a little slow. The heat works but the AC does not. It is complete but it never had a belt on it and I never tried to fix it. The compressor is not frozen up but I am sure it will need work to make it work again.
The engine is original to the car as is the carburetor and distributor. I don't think the motor was ever out of the car. It still starts right up and runs great. It is the correct WS code 455. Years ago when I first bought the car I had a gentleman who is a Buick expert look the entire car over and he couldn't find anything that didn't match as far as motor, Trans and rear. He tried to buy it from me for months but I wouldn't let it go. The transmission and shifter are original and work great. Even the reverse lockout is in place so you can't take the key out without having it in reverse. The rear is the stock 3.42 10 bolt posi which works well. The exhaust is pretty much stock front to back and is pretty quiet. The front end is tight, The brakes work well and it rides like a Buick nice and smooth down the road. The tires have good tread but are old and I would replace them if I were to drive it a long distance. Overall the car runs and drives well and gets attention everywhere it goes. What's nice about these cars is you can tell what it is by the VIN so there is no guesswork on if it is real or not.
I am a dealer but this is one of my personal cars. I lost the title a few years ago and have applied for a duplicate which should be here in a week or so. I am also going to purchase the Sloan docs for it. I had them when I first bought the car but I can't find them now. I do have more pics available and I will include a link to a 5 minute walk around video. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer you as soon as I can. If you want to come see it in person just email to setup an appointment. These cars rarely show up for sale and most don't have their original engines anymore. This is a great car to drive as is or a perfect car to do a complete restoration because you don't have to look for anything for it. Thanks for looking,
