The Buick Grand Sport became an unlikely muscle car as Buick has always been at the higher end luxury car market just behind Cadillac. That is why this model became a market all its own combining luxury and performance as the Muscle car market heated up. It is a car that could be sold to a wide variety of buyers, families and gear heads. The GS 400 was offered for both 1968 and 1969 model years. The 400 Cubic Inch... standard horsepower was rated at 340 which most people agree that was underrated from the factory. For 1969 a functioning ram-air induction was standard with a 4-barrel quadrajet and dual exhaust this car definitely got down the road. This particular car has a factory power top and air conditioning that has been converted and functioning along with power disc brakes. This is a completely stock GS with original paint and patina. The mileage of 66,000 miles is believed to be correct and the interior remains in excellent original condition. It is really hard to find these unmolested examples and yes, there are some blemishes in the body of this car showing some wear, however this is a southern vehicle and has never seen snow. The original boxed frame is in excellent un-rusted condition. Everything works including the factory AM/FM radio. I would not hesitate to get in this car and drive it across country today. These GS 400's are pretty rare and is ready for any adventure.
