Car description

1986 Buick Grand National2 Owner Car4800 MilesCrank Windows, Manual Locks, No T Tops or sunroof.
Well Documented with window sticker, and the only 2 service records this car ever had.One for the power master brake switch recall @320 miles, the other for a bad coil back @2300 miles.

The car had virtually no miles in 1999 when it was first registered off MSO. The car was driven here and there in fair weather and garage kept its' whole life.
The car never really sat...always started and driven around the block and no the local shows occasionally. The original Good Year Eagles were just too flat spotted to even drive this car to the gas station. I had them replaced for safety and common sense. Spare has never touched the ground...jack has never been removed.
I don't think it really gets any more original than this car. The gas tank has never been down, the trans pan has never been down, obviously the oil pan was never down, and the differential has never been opened up.
What does this mean? I flushed the trans fluid through the dipstick tube as to not remove the pan, the cork gasket appears to a bit dried out, but does not leak. The rear differential bolts have never been disturbed, flushed...the same way. The radiator has never been out, original clamps, hoses, etc. The brake fluid has been flushed...the power master accumulator ball was replaced with a second version because the diaphragm was bad in the original (still have original). The original drive belt was still on the car...I'm Mr. Original...but that bit me because it let loose and did some slight damage to the original 9 hole hood pad. I replaced it with a NOS 8 hole, but it comes with the original.
Car runs/drives/spools up/shifts/stops great! Zero rattles!
Three of the 4 headlights are original (halogen) the 4th is a Wagner I believe...obviously...it was replaced.
The Air Conditioning works great, but I purged the R12 in 2012...because I just don't drive it enough..and I didn't want the pressure in the system. I have 3 cans of R12 that will be included with the sale.
The interior is all original...and everything works...original rubber GM floor mats...not those silly Power 6 logo floor mats that everyone has. No, there is no cracks on the dash by the speaker grills...zero wear, stains, etc. on carpet, seats...buttons...cigar light has never been used.
The exterior is all original paint. 3.5 to 4.7 mils paint thickness...car has never been painted on. In 1986, we didn't have paint crazing, cracking issues like the 87 cars that ALL have had the hoods, decklids painted. None of that nonsense on this car. That being said, the car is 33 years old...and while the paint is a very strong.. there may be a tiny road chip or something here and there...no dents, door dings...or anything of that nature. The bumper plastic rub strips are originals, not NOS ones with the white lines on them. The filler panels are original and not deformed...maybe lack a bit of luster but nice nonetheless. This car has ZERO rust. There is nothing further to say on that. The car was never in the rain, snow, hit, smacked, dented, raced, modified, smoked in, or anything like that.
Undercarriage is completely unrestored with all the original tags, stickers, etc. on the car. There was a few tags (shifter cable and emergency brake cable) I bagged out of fear they could fall off at any given moment. The original blue markings are on the sway bar...lots of factory writing on the power steering box! Plenty of pink on the rear end pumpkin, gas tank looks new, but is original to the car and has never been down, also has some factory numbers written on it. Fuel filter is original to the car.
THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS SPRAYED EVERY 6 MONTHS WITH A LIGHT OIL TO KEEP FLASH RUST OFF THE BOTTOM...THAT IS WHEN I TOOK THE UNDERCARRIAGE PICS...IT DOES NOT LEAK!
Exhaust is original to the car with the original welded transverse muffler and such, original catalytic converter is in good shape.
Its funny...all these original low mile cars I see with restored undercarriages...the driveshafts flashed rusted on the Dealers lots! The car is 33 years old! Its not new despite the low miles.
What else can I tell you? Its a 33 year old GN...its got 33 year old hoses on it. It has the original air filter in it. Do I drive it? Absolutely! Is it a blast to drive! You betcha! It was not on the road from 2013 till 2018 when I flushed all the fluids...put a new drive belt on it...stupid me or not doing that years ago! and a new Delco battery) I got pulled over in it last night...(no pun intended). It is currently registered, plated...and insured!
Here is the bottom line...86's are the same as 87's...sans the chrome on the grill. 1986 GN's are far rarer and valuable. Why? There were 4 times as many built in 1987 as 1986.
Carfax and Autocheck are perfect.
I would be the second registered owner. Car was plated on and off from 1999 until about 2012...
I wish there were a ton of service records...there just isn't. The car has been to the shop twice in its' life.
This is a rare opportunity to buy a ORIGINAL car...not one of these cleaned up originals...with steam cleaned engines and detailed undercarriages. I own three. I know.
Any and all inspections are welcome...bring your GN specialist! This car is known by very respected members of the national Turbo Regal community...it is what it is.
Look at my feedback...I don't own junk, sell junk, misrepresent junk. I don't care to. I've got way to many cars and am liquidating. Please don't call and ask "what else do you have for sale?" or "I'd have to spend a few grand to get that car reliable, will you take 25k?" I have no time for this stuff.
However, if you have genuine interest...give me a call! Most of my auctions end early...I've got the car listed on other venues and auction may be ended at any time.
I have a Central Dispatch Broker Account and can get this car to you faster than your wife can get Amazon delivered.
The title is free and clear of any liens, and now titled to my company.
The reserve is reasonable! Priced more like most 20k mile cars that a 4800 mile car. It seems these greedy people that see the upswing in these cars and price them 20K over what they are worth will just keep them. I see similar mile intercooled GN's commanding 60K plus! Seriously people! Come on!
If you want the car...call me (630) 273-7595...I'm a very easy and reasonable person, but too honest and a terrible salesmen!...despite what you may think after reading this quasi-rant/eBay listing!
