This 1967 Buick GS 400 comes from a private collection of some of the most rarest muscle cars of all time. The owner of the collection spent the majority of his life searching for and collecting muscle cars from the height of its era. The time has come to start liquidating his collection and windle it down from about 50 to a more manageable 10. You'll notice as you scroll through the pictures below I've included some pictures of the massive collection(last 5 photos) and you are more than welcomed to inquire about other cars he has in his collection. Now, moving on to this 1967 Buick GS Convertible.
Buick always was considered the less expensive luxury division second to Cadillac. But it didn't take long for Buick to through its hat into the ring when the muscle car craze was beginning. This 1967 Buick GS ran belly up with all the big boys in the 60's and earned the respect from cars like the GTO, the Chevelle, and all the MOPAR Muscle out there. The Buick always stayed true to its heritage by being big, long but with a ride like a Cadillac. Some even say they road better than a Caddy. Buick had a lot to prove and for most of its life it was always considered the underdog. Now, looking back Buick produced some of the baddest muscle cars not only in the 60's and 70's, but in the 80's when it cleaned up the slate with the Grand National that sent the Corvette home crying to mommy. This 1967 Buick GS 400 has all the right ingredients to add to any collection. Very rare car which was restored very well. They always say, when the top goes down the price goes up. Couple that with low production numbers and a powerful V8 this Buick will continue to rise in value. Please read on to find out all about this rare car and don't forget to scroll through the pictures, video and photos of the massive collection all the way to the bottom of the ad. Thank you!
Exterior:
This Buick was restored from the frame up some time ago and the color was changed from its original silver to red. The full body car is straight and rust free and the bottom was restored and detailed which made it ready for show or go. All the chrome was redone as needed and the rest of the bright work was polished to a brilliant shine. The original Buick mag wheels are also in beautiful condition which were wrapped in redline tires. The convertible top was replaced at the time of restoration and is still in like new condition. This Buick is solid from all angles and even though the restoration was done over 8 years ago it still shows in excellent condition. All the glass is in excellent original condition and is clear with no damage or hazing. The paint shows its age in some areas but presents very well with great depth. All the lights and marker lights work as they should. Please look at all the photos and video and let us know of any questions you may have.
Interior:
The interior was restored to its original color and condition. The rare red color combination looks amazing from all sides. No rips, cracks or blemishes and all material has been restored to show quality. The car comes with rare power windows, power top, tilt wheel and even speed alert. Everything works in the car even the light bulb lights up when you open the glove box. The pictures really speak for themselves, please view all the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.
Drive-Train:
The engine and transmission are numbers matching. The car runs beautiful and the owner drive this car to shows, to the shore and just enjoyed the car. In fact, this was one of the first cars he purchased when starting his collection. The engine is quiet and powerful and the transmission shifts perfect. Take note of the original Star Wars Air Cleaner which is hardly seen on Buicks the have been restored, they are so hard to find. All shocks, brakes, suspension, belts and hoses are all road worthy and are ready for show or go. This is a turn key restoration and turn key car. Ready to enjoy!!
