VIDEO WITH LISTING VIN: 466670X159302 VIN Decode: 4: Buick 66: Wildcat Custom 67: Convertible 0: 1970 Model Year X: Fairfax, Kansas Assembly Plant 159302: Production Number Cowl Tag Decode: Style: 2dr Convertible Wildcat Custom (70-46667) Paint: Fire Red (75A) Trim: Pearl White (465) Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. This car is in absolutely outstanding cosmetic order.... There is not a scratch, scuff, or bubble to be found on the car. The only thing to knock is two missing trim pieces; the first missing piece being the Buick emblem for the center of the front grille, and the other being the small rearmost mid-line trim piece on the passenger rear quarter. - Fire Red is the correct color, and this car has been resprayed once. Respray was done to an extremely high standard. Truly show-level. Not a spec of dust under the paint, no paint run to be found. An “A” level paint job, which we seldom see. - White convertible top is in great shape. No scuffs, stains, or damage of any kind. Top is powered and functions as it should. Rear glass is nice and clear, with no scratches or discoloring. - Wheels are in nice shape, with just a little bit of chipping around the outer ring. Obviously very minor. Hubcaps are in great shape, with no noteworthy damage or oxidation. Tires look great, plenty of tread and no rot whatsoever, but we are not quite sure of the age of the tires. - Chrome is like-new throughout. No oxidation or visible wear. Interior: - Pearl White vinyl interior is correct and looks fantastic against the Fire Red exterior. While we do not know exactly when, we have to imagine the seats have been reupholstered, as the condition is like-new. Professionally done to look as-factory, that’s for sure. Absolutely no signs of wear, no creases, scuffs, discoloring. Front and rear are in equally impressive shape. Door panels show no kicked-open markings or damage. - Odometer reads 18,292 and is functional. As the car has been repainted and reupholstered, it’s likely that the odometer has rolled over. Powered top, lights, windows, wipers, heat/defrost/fan, and all gauges are functional. Air conditioning is not functional, and the system remains on R12 refrigerant. Radio is not functional as well. - Black carpeting is close-to-new, and a correct set of black floormats will come with the car as well. - Dash top is also like-new, with no warping, cracking, or anything of the sort. The lower dash is nice too, though the area around the gauge cluster shows its age a bit by way of some fade. This is observable in the photos. Under the Hood / Underbody: - Original engine, the most-powerful-available 7.5L 455ci V8. Stamped with the partial VIN, X159302. Good for 370hp and 510lbft, enormous numbers considering the car is now just shy of 50 years old! - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as it’s documented in detail. Underbody is in great shape. Really only one spot to note, some rust beginning to form on the passenger rear floor. It’s minor and not structural, but definitely worth noting as this is a show-level car. The rest of the underbody is extremely nice and dry. - This car is turn-key. A ready driver. Absolutely no tendencies of concern. It fires up first turn, idles cool and steady, sounds fantastic, pulls really, really hard, shifts smoothly (TH400 Automatic), brakes straight and effectively, and steering (power assisted) is nice, light, and direct. We wouldn’t hesitate to fly in and drive home, regardless of destination. With any further questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to Jake at 773-273-8257.
