Car description |
---|
Car was an old show car, with very well done Black Cherry paint job and redone black and white vinyl interior. Very good looking car - take to your local car show with pride. Engine has rare alloy rocker covers and chrome air cleaner. But work was done at least 20 years ag, and paint is showing a few blemishes.
Mechanically it is largely original. Starts, runs, drives, and stops well. You can drive it home - wherever you live. Original Dynaflow shifts well, does not slip or leak excessively. Tires have good trea, but are too large for the car. Rears are oversized for that “hot rod” look. Exhaust has glass packs and is a little loud, and there is a leaking exhaust manifold gasket.
Body is very good - solid floors, trunk had some rust spots, so I replaced it with a repro panel ( I am a car builder , rockers solid ( some lifting of small patches is evident on a hoist , underbody is clean with no rust holes. Right rear quarter has a slight scratch with some paint cracking. All chrome on the body is excellent except for the tail light bezels. Chrome wheels have some light corrosion.
This is a very good car to drive as-i, or a great start for a custom or restoration. This car has been in my collection for over 10 year, and was always going to be the next projec, but race cars and customer projects always got priority. We are now moving, and I need to reduce the fleet. Really is a very nice car, but I need to price to sell quickly.
It is a 55 year old ca, so is sold as is without guarantees. Shipping is on yo, but I will work with you to get it shipped. Any questions, send me a note. Thanks for looking !
