True GS model . Have orginal paperwork from Fred Tuch Buick Chicago Ill. June 18th 1969 purchase date.
Have PROTECT-O- PLATE. Car was ZIEBARTED Rust proofed in June 1969.Bought from Wisconsin collector Sept 2017. MILEAGE = 82,320.
Has chrome Buick rims, lower gravel guards with stainless steel lower trim. Hide away headlights work, go up and down. Power bucket driver seat, console car with desirable black interior. A/C there but not working. No cruise control..
Below is items repaired and many NEW PARTS IN TRUNK TO BE INSTALLED...
4 wheel drum brakes with front aluminum drums, fins not chipped or broken. Removed and turned drums and painted. Greased front bearings with new grease seals. Enough metal left to turn all drums safety. New shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware kit and rubber flex hoses along with full stainless steel new brake line set in trunk to be installed. New transmission cooler steel lines in trunk. New Ac / Delco rear coil springs and rubber insulators with 4 new front and rear shock absorbers in trunk to be installed. New power brake booster in trunk.
Front 2 bucket seats professionally reupholstered with new seat foam and vinyl covers. Driver power seat motor works, rear seat and door panels, dash pad and headliner all in really good condition. No moldy smells in interior. No water leaks through window seals. Steering wheel good no cracks.
Rebuildt gas tank fuel sending unit with new electric fuel pump, now dash gas gauge works. New rubber lines to main gas line and to carb with new canister fuel filter. Carb not touched, car starts up fine and idles down after choke warms up. New breather filter and air cleaner filter.Installed new oil pressure 3 terminal switch by oil filter. This feeds power to electric fuel pump. Must connect plug and trace wire back to fuel pump. open wire somewhere. Now electric fuel pump running by switched feed from fuse box through orginal loom to fuel pump. Open wire between engine harness and dash loom. Never opened up the loom to trace wires.. New battery installed Sept 2017.
Cap, rotor, plugs and wires not touched, replacement Ac/Delco parts in trunk to be installed. Gas tank not rusted. Trunk area not rusted see pictures. Has Buick chrome spare wheel with jack. No jack handle found in car.
Power windows work except for intermediate driver window, wire loom at door hinge was repaired by previous owner, could be wire connection, didn't open up to fix. Rear window defroster works, driver power seat track greased and works. Radio lights up but no sound. In glove box an aftermarket cassette player. Power antenna goes up and down. Gas gauge works, turn signals, headlights work, installed new low beams and go up and down for hideaway function with no leaking from vacuum pods at front bumper. Wipers work. Glass in good condition except front windshield pass side has a star crack.Exterior lights work and trunk light also. A/C not working, no belt on compressor when i bought car. Climate control system heater clicks and vac switches operate but no blower running.
Paint needs work, oxidized driver door has dent, 2 rear quarter panels has rust by edges of marker lights along with dents. Front " a" pillars down to cowl has some rust, passenger front fender missing lower stainless steel trim panel, has rust. Car was ZIEBARTED in 1969 see yellow plugs around door jambs, have invoice from 1st owner along with all orginal dealership paperwork. Have Protect-o plate also. Looks like a trunk top respray years ago. Probably orginal paint on this Riv. Paint has scratches, dents some rust at edges. Chrome fair, not rusted or pitted badly.
Engine runs smooth, no smoking or noises, trans shifts fine, minor leaks trans pan and power steering case. Belts and tires older, need replacing. Starts with 2 pumps of gas pedal to set choke and idles down after warming up. Brakes work, need parts installed in trunk. Steering not loose, car drives ok, no issues for loading on truck.
Inspections and test drives welcome. Located in Chicago area ; in Skokie, Il 60077. Large parking lot for easy truck loading.A real GS Riv.
