This is a 1926 Buick I picked up in a trade deal. It was last registered in 1978. It is complete with the fenders, headlights, body skins and all, I just haven't finished picking it all up yet. It's in a warehouse across the street from me. It looks like someone started to restore it in 1978. In the boxes shown are some re-plated parts, the carburetor and tons of other body and mechanical parts. They're all wrapped in newspaper dated 1977. We took an inspection camera and put it down the cylinders and the inside of the engine is real clean. I pulled the rocker cover and it is real clean inside. I'm thinking that the owner back in the 70's had taken the motor out and freshened it up or re-built it as the firewall at that time got painted the new body color of maroon when the engine was out. All the brakes are intact and still work. All the wood spoke wheels are very nice and it has the dual mounted rear spare tires. The steering wheel is in great condition. The wheelbase is 126 inches if that tells you what series it is. I see that the Standard Six was 114 inches so this might be the Master series. The chassis number is 1977382 and the engine number is 2053444. For the price I am asking, it is a great restoration project for someone who really knows Buicks or a good donor car.
