Car description

I'm listing this car for a non-ebay friend who bought this car brand new and still owns it. For pre-purchase and purchase, you will be interacting directly with him. Contact me for his email and cell phone number. He will be more than happy to discuss the car and answer all questions you have.

This is a 6,759 mile 1987 Grand National that is being sold by the original owner! This car is like new! It is like buying a brand new 1987 Buick Grand National. The car was purchased brand new from Frederick Buick in Lebanon PA. It has stayed in the the Lehigh Valley PA area for the last 31 years. I have the original owners manuals and a complete original 1987 Buick service manual set that will go with the car.
This car is perfect, never hit or damaged or painted. It was stored indoors since day one, and has only rarely see rain, and never ever seen snow or salt. When stored indoors it was usually covered, and when being stored for longer periods of time such as winter, it was lifted off the ground and placed on 4 jack stands under the frame to preserve the tires and suspension.

The oil was changed every 1000 miles or less using Mobile-One 10w-30 oil and AC PF52 oil filters. It has the original Eagle GT tires with the original gray valve stem caps.
It has had maintenance and minor changes over the years. If anything was removed or replaced, all the original parts were saved and stored and will go with the car.
The car is so original that the windshield washer fluid is original, the windshield washers have never really been used! The wipers were rarely used!

Some changes over the years to the car that are easily reversed:
It has a Hooker 2.5 inch dual exhaust system with a gutted catalytic converter. This was done mainly for sound. It sounds great and is not loud at all. The original and uncut exhaust system is included, also the original unmodified catalytic converter is also included with the car.
The interior is perfect with no issues. The interior has an after-market matching color gray dual gauge panel on the center console housing VDO oil pressure and water temperature gauges. No holes were drilled and this is easily removed. There is a VDO boost gauge mounted on the driver side A-pillar, this is also mounted without holes and can be removed without a trace.
The stock chip was replaced with a Thrasher chip in the late 90's. The idle and drive-ability is excellent with this chip; greatly improved over stock making the car a joy to drive. The stock chip is saved and will be included with the car.
The rear coil springs were replaced with Moog replacement coil springs because the rear of the car was sagging slightly. The original coil springs were saved and will go with the car.
Its shifts great and has never ever had any trans problems. It had a mild TransGo shift kit installed in the late 80's when the car had less than 1,000 miles on it. This was done for durability reasons.
It has one or two stone chips in the paint because it was driven, but you have to really look to find them. They could probably be made to disappear if you really knew what you were doing; but I do not nor do I know anyone who does, so wisely I left them alone.
The air conditioning does not currently work. The AC system has never been touched and we assume it is low on freon and needs recharged. I do not know a qualified AC tech that I trust will not mess up the original system so I wisely left it alone for the new owner.

It is titled in PA as an antique vehicle, which is a great deal because there are no annual fees and annual inspections are not required. If the buyer is in PA, the antique license plate is transferable to the new owner.

This is the real deal, a perfect stock GN with no issues from the original owner. Why am I selling such a gem? Well, its time for something different. I'm getting the bug to modify a car, perhaps do a LS swap that has become popular these days, and it would be a crime to modify this one. I only have so much garage space, so something must give. I would imagine the next owner would love to add this car to his collection for years in the future.
