Car description |
---|
1973 Buick Gran Sport - 16,328 original mile survivor car with period correct 455 Stage 1 motor.
The car you are looking at is a very original Gran Sport Buick in Harvest Gold with black interior. The car retains roughly 90% of its original paint which still looks fantastic. The current owner recently upgraded the original 350 Buick (which will be included with the sale of the car) to a 1970 455ci Stage 1 motor. The original transmission is still in the car and the original rear end is also in the car with an upgraded 3:73 gear.
Exterior-
As you can see from the pictures this is an extremely solid original body. Mostly original paint with only a few minor blemishes as shown in the last few pictures. All the chrome on the vehicle is in great shape and still shines very well. Glass is in near mint shape as well as you would expect from a vehicle with only 16k miles. Fits are factory original all the way around - in a few pictures shown above the deck lid was not latched.
Interior -
The interior is bone stock except for period correct gauges under the dash. The interior is immaculate from the headliner down to the carpet. The seats look like they have hardly been sat in, the dash is near mint, all the gauges in the dash are perfect, clear and not foggy whatsoever. All trim around the dash looks perfect as well. Door panels are extremely nice as well.
Running/Driving -
The car runs and drives excellent. It absolutely glides down the road, straight, with no vibrations or squeaks/rattles. Its a tight car. Mechanically the car is sound, brakes are in great shape. Motor, transmission, and rear end have all been gone over recently and are fine working order. Car stops smooth and shifts well. As mentioned above, the original 350 will come with the car when sold. This car was a running and driving car with the original 350 and ran great. Only swapped out to provide a little more excitement with the 455. Also included with the car are 5 (one spare currently in car) original Buick wheels on Goodyear Wingfoot tires. Tires and wheels are in great shape. Compressor kicks on for air conditioning but does not blow cold.
This car can appear factory stock in a matter of minutes with the original wheels and you can still take it to the track or local cruise night and have a blast! The car ran low 13's at the strip the way it is shown in pictures, with minor tweaking it is a high 12 second car. It is a fun car and for the money I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a car this solid with such low miles.
I encourage anyone who is seriously interested in the car to stop by and check it out in person. Pictures show many details but nothing beats your own eyes - you will not be disappointed. The car is listed for sale locally so if an offer is accepted I will remove the listing.
If you have any questions please call Bill at 330-207-4455. Thanks for your interest! $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end.
