Car description |

Nice vintage Buick Convertible. It's a driver, not a show car. Very reliable, great power, no rattles and VERY smooth. Glides like a magic carpet, yet handles turns precisely, with very little lean. Handles excellent for a big old car.
NOTE: Please see last two images. Hagerty Insurance is the premier insurance company for vintage cars. Their valuation of this model is shown as of 4-21-2018. Feel free to visit their website yourself. Make sure to put in 2 door Convertible at the top menu.
Description:
Old paint, but no dents. Chrome on bumpers is showing a little age but still in nice shape, chrome around windows is excellent. Side moldings are all perfect. Very complete car that can be driven anywhere with confidence. Brakes straight and smooth, transmission is buttery smooth, acceleration is excellent and power steering is feather light. Superb driver. Amazingly quiet with the top down, even at speed.Lights all work including interior lamps, original AM radio works great with front, rear or both speakers controlled by dash switch. Hydraulic convertible, but needs new top. I've almost put one on several times but I drive it as a convertible and if I pick white, you'll want black. (Priced to reflect it needs upholstered top.) Hydraulic up and down for top works great with a switch on the dash. No need to get out of the car to raise or lower top. Original vinyl boot to cover top when down in place and in good shape for age. Original seats are decent but not perfect, some stitching coming apart but never seems to get worse. Carpet, door panels, etc. are good and overall very presentable/respectable interior.
Feel free to ask questions. This car deserves a good home. It could be restored or driven as is for a long time. Needs nothing to be used daily. Many smiles per mile in this elegant and classic American Iron cruiser. People think of Chevy Impala, Ford Mustang, etc. but forget about the upscale Buick. Everywhere we drive it, and I mean everywhere, people love it and want to know all about it. Add 10 minutes to your trip, because you'll get stopped by all ages and types who love the clean lines. It looks like it's moving even when sitting still. Sleek.
It's not nice enough to get stressed out about, but plenty nice to get thumbs ups and "nice car!" yelled at you often. Best of all, it's a pleasure to drive, so it rates extremely high on the fun scale. Life is stressful and this car melts it away and puts a smile on your face.Clean California title, currently registered and driven often.
Includes original owners manual and factory shop manuals.
Thank you for looking.
Notes:- Bidding reserve is set very reasonably for this car.- I reserve the right to end the auction early, as it's for sale locally.- I tried many times to show 92,000 miles in the ebay listing but when I use that number the template says I need to put a valid number in. I have no idea why. The only number that it won't reject is 100, so that's what we used. The odometer is 92,000.
