Car description |
---|
This is a genuine 1971 Buick Riviera Gran Sport code Y49 car purchased from the son of the original owner. Very well documented including the build sheet, warranty card, and computer punch out card from when the car was new. Rear window is intact and in good shape!
The rest of the car however is not in good shape. With rust in just about every panel and a few good sized holes in the trunk and floor, this rare old girl is too far gone for my abilities. Frame is in good shape but every piece of sheet metal will need attention, including the roof. Engine is a 455 but not the original, and I was told it just needed a starter but I haven't messed with it and truly have no idea what shape it is in. Interior has a non-original bench seat. The lights do come on when the battery is hooked up, so some wiring is still intact. Maybe someone out there could use it for a super rare resto-mod?
Car is currently at Scooter's Garage 1321 Loflin Road in Aberdeen, MD and can be seen in the parking lot. No reserve auction so ask whatever questions you need before the auction ends. The owner of the garage is just storing the Riv, so please e-mail any questions you might have.
