This 1970 Buick GSX was sold new at Mitchell Buick in McHenry, Illinois, and is one of only 187 produced in Apollo White. The GSX recently underwent a no-expense-spared professional restoration completed in February 2017 by Mike Paremsky of Michael's Auto Restoration in Winter Haven, Florida, that brought the GSX back to its 1970 muscle-car glory using an exacting combination of NOS parts and original sheet metal from the GSX molded front spoiler to baffled rear wing. The matching-numbers 455 CI engine was rebuilt to Stage 1 specifications by GS Enterprises in Cuba City, Wisconsin. Functional hood scoops force air into the Quadrajet carburetor for 360 HP and 510 lb-ft of torque, with heavy-duty cooling as part of the GSX package. The matching-numbers Turbo 400 automatic transmission gets power down to the ground through a Positraction differential with 3.42:1 gears. Power steering and power front disc brakes work with the F41 Rallye Ride Control package for maximum road handling. Power meets Buick muscle-car appointments inside the GSX. Bucket seats around a centered shift console with a Rallye steering wheel and instrumentation make for a period-perfect high-performance experience, and the view through the date-coded windshield includes a hood-mounted tachometer. The exterior is accented by GSX stripes and badging, with rechromed original bumpers complementing the chrome-plated Rallye wheels with white billboard-letter Wide-Oval tires. This rarest of Buick muscle cars is one of 60 Apollo White examples listed in the GSX registry, and it comes with a copy of the original window sticker, as well as GSX Historical Society documentation. Restoration is documented with all receipts and 500 pictures. Date coded windshield and battery. Any questions call Mike at 863-618-6179. Car is located in Winter Haven, FL. PHOTO GALLERY BELOW:
