1956 Buick Special Wagon. I started with a good solid car that had worn out running gear, and I wanted a good rat-rod wagon, so weadded a 1966 401 with TH400 Switch Pitch from a'66 Riviera I had. Installed a 9" Ford rear-end, 2"dropped front spindles. Custom balanced drive shaft. Went thru all of the brakes, and had the power brake unit rebuilt. It runs good, but I've only driven it a few times (maybe 20) locally over the years. My 50 yr. old son and I have been working on it for about 4 yrs., but as you can see from some of the photos, I've got too many other Buick rods in process to finish this one. The interior still needs to be finished up. I've painted the roof inside with POR-15 to prevent any roof rust out, and purchased a new factory headliner, windlace, andnew door panels. Has all new door seals, and window fuzzies, and nicely converted electric wipers. The old door panels are there for the stainless trim. You'll still need carpeting for the rear and cargo area, and a little more madrid grain vinyl to re-do the seats back to stock. I'm in it about $11,400 in money as you see it, and countless hours, but I'm out of garage space for it, so I've decided to sell. Decent stockers can sell for $15K, and restored stockers and customscan go as high as $35K.Sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty except as to title. It needs a little finishing up here and there, but will make a nice rod when done.$1000 deposit via PayPal at time of salewith remainder due via certified check within 7 days. All photos shown are within the last 4 yrs., with the lead photo taken last week, but it's too damn cold out there for an old guy to take any more. If you've got questions call me at (360) 495-3320.
